Kenny Chesney Wraps Up Las Veags Residency, Announces Return in 2026

Kenny Chesney‘s  Live at Sphere Las Vegas is history, but not forever. Chesney just wrapped up his final night of his Las Vegas residency, but announces he will return in 2026.

“I want to thank you guys for all the love, the energy, the passion,” Chesney shares on social media. “For loving this music so much. And I want to let you know, we’ve been invited back for next summer, summer of ’26, and we’re coming. If you guys come, we’ll come. So thank you very much. We’ll see you next summer here at Sphere.”

In a press release, Chesney explains his decision to bring Live at Sphere back for another year.

“I got a little carried away,” Chesney admits, explaining his decision to announce the return of Live at Sphere during his final show. “But after all the guests, all the songs we hadn’t planned on, all the people who came from all over, I just didn’t want to keep it a secret. I knew we were coming back, and if No Shoes Nation had half as much fun as we did, I wanted them to know we’d see them right here next summer. What could be better?”

Chesney was joined for his final show of his residency by Mac McAnally, the writer behind several of Chesney’s hits, including “Come Over,” “American Kids,” “Get Aong” and more.

“For all the intensity of the production, these shows have been unbelievably fluid, capable of change-ups and crazy requests,” Chesney reflects. “Yes, it really is another dimension when it comes to how you experience the music, but it’s ultimately the songs that stand out. Mac McAnally proved that. He is such a soul/heart singer, and all the warmth of what he does only grew greater on that stage.

“Whether it was mostly the two of us and our guitars or something like ‘Two Dozen Roses,’ ” he continues, referring to the Shenandoah hit that McAnally also wrote, “the audience got to experience the root of what makes him so great. That voice of his, which feels like an old friend, took on an even more comfortable presence. It was amazing.”

Live at Sphere will be returning for 2026, but in typical Chesney fashion, the East Tennessee native hints it won’t be just like the residency he just concluded.

“When we said we were taking No Shoes Nation into another dimension, no one truly knew what that meant,” Chesney says. “Now that we do, we can’t wait to come back and do it all over again.”

Chesney has plenty to look forward to still in 2025. He will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame later this year. His new book,  HEART*LIFE*MUSIC, will be out on November 4.

“I always said I’d never write a book, and now here we are,” Chesney says. “And I have to admit: I’m really glad I did it. I remembered moments, connected dots and laughed a lot about some of the places I’ve been. When you’re so busy going forward, you don’t always realize. Being in the revision and copy-editing part of the process, I am so grateful and fired up for the journey.”

Chesney will appear on TalkShopLive on Tuesday, June 24 at 7:00 PM ET, to talk about the stories in HEART*LIFE*MUSIC, and share his reason behind wanting to tell his life story. Find all of Chesney’s music and upcoming shows at KennyChesney.com.
