Brandon Davis is opening up about one of the most challenging times in his life, which led him to where he is today. The father of six was in a serious car accident in 2019, one that forever changed the trajectory of his life in the most unexpected way.
“Most of you know my story,” Davis writes. “I thought I was living my purpose. I had a salary job, a nice house, the most amazing wife and three kids with one on the way. But God had bigger plans for me. And it took a distracted driver almost ending it all to wake me up and make me see that.”
Fortunate to be alive after the near-fatal crash, Davis admits he struggled while recovering from his injuries. It’s a struggle that might have turned out much differently, if not for the encouragement of his wife, Destiny.
“I remember being so lost after the wreck and my surgery,” Davis recalls. “I asked Destiny tearfully why over and over and she just said, ‘It doesn’t make sense now but it will one day.’ In the moment, it didn’t give me much solace but looking back now, wow. It took almost losing my life to spark a fire inside me, a fire I didn’t want my kids to have to have a near-death experience to have. It made me realize how short life can be and it encouraged me to chase my dreams, to show my kids that dreams are worth chasing.
“God gave me a second chance and I haven’t taken a single second of that for granted,” he continues. “Each and every song I release, I pour my whole heart into. I try to write with purpose. I try to write songs for you guys, for my kids, and that’s never going to change.”

Davis goes on to encourage others to pursue their passions, while also expressing his immense gratitude for his loyal fans, many who have been with him since the very beginning.
“I believe heavily that God has a plan for each and every one of us, and I believe each and every one of you are a part of my journey for a reason,” Davis says. “Without your love and support over the past five years there’s no way I’d be where I am today, so thank you. Every single one of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Davis has all the makings of becoming a country music superstar, but that isn’t what he wants. Instead, Davis is pursuing something much more altruistic, and less self-centered.
“I don’t want to be rich,” he maintains. “I don’t want a big fancy car or material things. I just want my music to make a difference in this world. I want my kids to know how proud I am of them and that dreams are worth chasing, and I want all of you to know you matter. To me, to God, and that your dreams and happiness are worth chasing too.
“I’m excited for my music to evolve as my life and family does,” he concludes. “I’m thankful for all the opportunities I’m given to get my music out to the world and I’m inspired by each of you every single day to never give up. All that to say, thank you. Keep pushing on. And that I love you all!”
