Hillary Scott is officially a mother of four! The Lady A singer and her husband, Chris Tyrrell, welcomed daughter Selah Jean into the world on Friday, July 25, waiting several days to share the good news. The new addition joins 12-year-old sister, Eisele Kaye, and twins Emory JoAnn and Betsy Mack, who are seven.
“We are over the moon to introduce you to Selah Jean! She was born 7/25/25,” the couple tells People in a joint statement. “She has filled our hearts with joy and her sisters are already the BEST helpers.”
“Her name means ‘pause and reflect’ and ‘God is gracious,’ and in the few short days she’s been here with us, we can already see that she embodies both of those phrases,” they continue. “She truly feels like the most priceless gift — like Christmas in July!”

What Hillary Scott Said About Being Pregnant
In February, Scott announced she and Tyrrell were expecting again.
“Chris, Eisele, Emory, Betsy, and I are overjoyed to report that this summer our family will be made complete with the most precious little SISTER joining the family. I’m dusting off that Maternity bin from the storage room ONE more time,” Scott shared.
“4 daughters,” she continued. “We are thankful that God has entrusted us with a household of little ladies, and I couldn’t be happier that my husband continues his streak as the absolute BEST girl dad, in my opinion! We have been looking forward to this day and covet your prayers for a continued safe and healthy journey getting her here.”
Lady A Continues To Grow
Scott isn’t the only one adding to her family. Charles Kelley and his wife, Cassie, are also expecting another child, their second son, this fall.
“Biggest surprise of our lives!” Kelley captioned the photos, showing Cassie’s pregnancy. “Baby Kelley coming early fall 2025. Big brother is the MOST excited.”

Cassie had only a one percent chance of conceiving when she became pregnant with their son, Ward, who is now nine. Kelley’s wife was 42 when she unexpectedly became pregnant again, an unexpected blessing.
“It’s all been an interesting thing to wrap my head around,” Kelley tells American Songwriter. “But we’re just trying to enjoy the moment of it all. Obviously, with a little bit of an older pregnancy, you worry, and we’re still keeping an eye on it all. But everything seems really good so far. Everything seems healthy.”
Lady A’s Tour Plans
Lady A will embark on their This Winter’s Night Tour in December, their first holiday tour.
“We have been in such a season of family and that’s the first thing we think of when we think of Christmas and the Holiday Season,” Scotty says. “We hope this record and our first ever Christmas tour will be an opportunity for families and fans to usher in the Holiday Spirit with fun, joy and gratitude.”
