Luke Combs is very much a hands-on dad. The father of three-year-old Tex and Beau, who turns two on August 15, Combs says that whenever he is home, he is anything but a superstar.
“I’m in there. I’m just in the mix,” Comes says on Country Nights Live with Bev Rainey. “I’m ripping diapers and doing baths. There’s nothing I’m afraid to do. There’s nothing that’s beneath me, or whatever you want to call it. I just truly am full-time – if I’m not on the road, I’m just literally a stay-at-home dad.”
Combs shares his two children with his wife, Nicole. The couple recently celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary.

Combs works hard to give his two sons a normal childhood, in spite of his celebrity status. It’s why he is so hands-on when he is home, and why he and Nicole refuse to hire nannies to help with their children.
“I want my kids’ childhood to feel as normal as it can, given the very strange circumstances that it will ultimately become,” Combs shares on the MeatEater podcast (via Country Now). “That’s a choice you have to make. And you lose a lot of things with that in the sense of like, there’s so many cool opportunities that I have that maybe would be really, not really beneficial, but cool experiences or beneficial to my career that I pass on to do that for my kids.”
Tex and Beau are also why Combs toured very little in 2025.
“We’re only doing festivals this year,” Combs explains to People . “We got 20-something shows this year. I’ve already done ten of them. I got 14 more shows for the rest of the whole year. I want to be home with my kids. I want to see my kids grow up and I want them to know that they’re important to me.”

Luke Combs’ Tour Plans For 2026
Combs may not have done much touring in 2025, but he has big plans for 2026, including a new album and tour.
“My truck’s full of rubber duckies and turkey calls that my kids play with and stuff,” Combs shares on social media. “That’s just what my life’s been, being a dad. But I’m getting back in the saddle here, back in the studio. I’m very excited about that. I’ve got some awesome festivals coming up this year.”
“I got a big tour coming next year,” he continues. “I just kind of finalized a lot of the details on that here in the last week or so. So new record coming up soon, new tour coming up. I’m just excited. I’m excited and I’m back. I’m back doing stuff and being around, and obviously spending time at home.”
Luke Combs’ Next Album
Not only does Combs have a big tour planned, but he is also working on a brand-new album, with more than 30 songs already recorded for the project.
“I probably got one recording session left on it, but I’ve already recorded, I don’t know over 30 songs, I would think,” Combs tells Audacy. “I don’t know that there’s any plans to do like the big album thing. I just don’t know if I’d love that idea. There’s nothing against it. I mean, obviously it works really well.”
Combs already released “Back In The Saddle,” as the debut single from his next project.
“The thing that made me want to make ‘Back In The Saddle’ the lead single for my next record is, I think, that’s kind of what this song’s about,” Combs tells Audacy. “It’s about being in the studio, just getting back in the swing of things, letting people know that you’ve got new music coming out. I’m excited about being around and being on tour, and being in the studio and writing songs. Just being around, and I’m excited for people to check it out.”
