Tim McGraw debuted a bold new look earlier this year: a shaved head! McGraw reveals that what started as a temporary way to cool off, turned into a permanent, at least for now, new look, thanks to his wife, Faith Hill.
“I just decided to do it,” McGraw tells Entertainment Tonight. “It was hot this summer, and I just decided to do it. And then my wife loved it, so when my wife loves it, I’m gonna keep it.”

Tim McGraw Talks New Music
Taste of Country first shared the photo of McGraw with a shaved head. At the time, McGraw was heading into the studio to work on new music, muisc he says is nearing completion.
“I’m always learning,” McGraw says. “I’m always learning, trying to get better. Trying to make better music, trying to find better songs. Trying to write better songs. And always trying to do something better.”
The 58-year-old recently released “King Rodeo,” a song he wrote with Tom Douglas for the inaugural Music City Rodeo, held earlier this year.
“We’ve been working on a new record, and we thought that this song was appropriate for the night,” McGraw said at the time. The song says in part, “So the spotlight’s faded, you moved a little past your prime / Don’t let ’em make you jaded, ’cause you can’t turn back time / Tomorrow’s like a woman, you can’t understand / Lady Luck’s been good to you ,so take her by the hand / Hey King Rodeo.”
Tim McGraw Brags About His 3 Daughters
McGraw and Hill are the proud parents of three grown daughters, Gracie, Maggie and Audrey. Growing up as the children of two famous superstars, McGraw acknowledges it wasn’t always easy for them, which is why he is so proud of how well they turned out.
“My girls are incredible,” boasts the singer. “Growing up in the circumstances that they grew up in, and we’ve tried to keep them away from it as much as we can, but it bleeds in. But they’re so grounded, and they keep us grounded. They keep us grounded. They’re such sweet, good people. And as a parent, that’s the best thing you can hope for.”
McGraw also just praised Hill, who turned 58 on September 21.
“My soulmate. My rock. My force of nature. My everything,” McGraw writes on social media. “This is the best damn person that there is. Her heart is pure gold. Her love is unconditional. Her love is bigger than the universe. I love this woman. Happy birthday my love. And yes, I married waaaayyy above my head!”
McGraw has a Top 40 hit with “Paper Umbrellas,” his collaboration with Parker McCollum. Find all of McGraw’s music and upcoming shows at TimMcGraw.com.
