Lauren Alaina is opening up about motherhood. Alaina and her husband, Cam Arnold, welcomed their first child, daughter Beni Doll, in June, changing everything for the singer, in the best way possible.
“It is the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” Alaina says on the Bobby Bones Show. “And everyone says that. … When they hand you that baby, your whole life changes. I guess my favorite part is the way she looks at me. I’ve never had someone look at me like that.”
“She’s completely dependent on me,” she continues. “What a gift that I get to be the one that can nurture her and take care of her. My second favorite is probably watching my husband with her. I love him so much more. And I already loved him, but watching him father her is pretty special.”
What Lauren Alaina Says About Her Husband, Cam Arnold, As a Father
Alaina was already crazy about Arnold, whom she wed in 2024. But now, Alaina is even more in love with her husband, after watching him be a father to their little girl.
“He has a dance party with her every day when he gets home from work,” Alaina reveals. “So he will turn the music on in the living room, and picks her up, and they dance. And now, she’s eight months old; it’s almost like she expects the dance party. Just the way he interacts with her. When she was really little, he was a little scared of her, I think.
“When they’re first born, everybody’s a little scared of them,” she adds. “They’re so little. But they’re very resilient … Just the way he talks to her, and the way he interacts with her, I’ve just never seen that side of him. And it’s so sweet.”

Lauren Alaina Shares How She Balances Working and Motherhood
Alaina is currently serving as the opening act on Rascal Flatts‘ 2026 Life Is A Highway Tour. For Alaina, it’s the best of both worlds, since she brings her baby with her on the road.
“I always dreamed of being on stage and dreamed of touring and doing all of this. And I wanted to be a mom, but I didn’t see how that would fit in, and I didn’t know how I would meet the right guy or do any of those things,” Alaina tells Country Now. “And it’s so funny, now my dream is them. They are my dream, and the other part is the bonus.”
In addition to touring, the 31-year-old is also working on new music, one that celebrates her new chapter as a mother.
“It’s interesting,” Alaina says. “It’s completely flipped for me. But I think that, for me, mentally, [it] has put me in a really safe place to create. I still have anxiety. And I’m like, ‘Where are we going on tour next year, and what are we doing, and when’s the album coming out,’ and all of that. But at the end of the day, I look at Beni, and she smiles at me, and I’m like, ‘Well, whatever. It’s all going to be great as long as we can provide for her and give her a beautiful life.’ That’s what matters to me now.”
