A deluxe version of I Didn’t Come Here To Leave is coming from Chris Young! The Grand Ole Opry member announces the new version will be out on June 12. Included on the project is “One of Us,” a duet with rising star Shaylen.
Young announces the exciting news on social media.
“Couldn’t be more excited to share that the deluxe version of my album I Didn’t Come Here To Leave will be out June 12th,” Young writes. “I’m sharing the first new song called ‘One of Us’ featuring the amazing Shaylen next week on May 22nd! Go pre-save it now!”

What Chris Young Says About ‘I Didn’t Come Here to Leave’
I Didn’t Come Here To Leave is Young’s first album on Black River Entertainment. It’s also a record he is rightfully proud to have created.
“I genuinely think this is one of my favorite things I’ve ever made,” Young says. “That’s not just talk—I’m really proud of this album. Even if it doesn’t land with everyone, I know what it means to me. I look at this album and there are songs that make you want to buy a beer, and there’s songs that if you broke up with somebody, you’re going to want to cry. For different reasons, I feel like this is a complete album. It’s one I’m so proud of and I hope you love it.”
I Didn’t Come Here to Leave includes “‘Til the Last One Dies,” the first single from the record. The song is written by Ben Hayslip, Seth Mosley, and Jordan Walker. Young loved the song, even though it is one of only a few that he didn’t write for the project.
Chris Young Announces Famous Friends Nashville Bar
In addition to working on new music, Young is also working on his new Nashville Bar, Famous Friends. The bar, a nod to his 2021 duet with Kane Brown, is opening in the Midtown area of Music City. Famous Friends will be located at 1516A Demonbreun Street.
“I’m very excited for Famous Friends to be open in Nashville! I have been working on this as a passion project for a while now,” Young tells Billboard. “A sports bar that will be Nashville famous for a reason. Something completely different where you can bring all your friends for a great time!”
