Brad Paisley released his Snow Globe Town Christmas album in November. The 16-track record includes eight holiday classics, along with eight original songs written by Paisley.
For the 53-year-old, Snow Globe Town is the best way for him to release a record the way he wants it to be heard.
“I think a Christmas record is your best chance right now of people hearing it the way you made it,” Paisley tells Amazon’s Country Heat Weekly podcast. “It’s a tall ask, in the middle of July, to say to somebody, ‘Here’s my new album. I would like for you to put this on while you’re driving, or cooking, or doing whatever, and just let it play.’ They don’t do that now. They’re going to chop it up, and they’re going to have their playlist, and they’re going to like this one and that one. But at Christmas, people just put stuff on.'”

Why Brad Paisley Released ‘Snow Globe Town’
Paisley was inspired to create Snow Globe Town after writing music for the original Hallmark movie, A Grand Ole Opry Christmas.
“I had so much inspiration writing songs for Hallmark’s A Grand Ole Opry Christmas movie,” Paisley says. “It sparked a real creative energy that was honestly hard to stop so we made an entire album.”
For Paisley, the holidays are not only his favorite time to listen to music, but to create it as well.
“Christmas has always been one of my favorite times to make music—it brings people together in a way nothing else does,” Paisley shares. “This album came from wanting to celebrate the nostalgia of the season, but also capture the real, honest moments that make the holidays meaningful. I’m grateful for the fans who showed up for this record, and I’m excited to keep sharing music that feels true to where I am now.”
Brad Paisley Stars in Hallmark’s ‘A Grand Ole Opry Christmas’
Paisley not only wrote music for A Grand Ole Opry Christmas, but he also appears in the movie as well.
“The Hallmark channel to me is a major part of finding the joy and the spirit of the holidays,” Paisley says. “We turn it on and leave it on in our house like Christmas tree lights or decorations, it’s a major part of the atmosphere for us. I loved the challenge of creating that same magic with this music by letting it take you to the same place that these movies and this world Hallmark has built. Can’t wait for you to hear what all we’ve done. Also, knowing the Opry is the setting for one of these movies is very inspiring.”
