Carly Pearce Readies Her 5th Studio Album: 'Absolutely My Favorite Record'

Carly Pearce is putting the finishing touches on her new album, and one she can’t wait to share with her fans. Pearce shared a photo on social media of her with producer and mixer Dave Clauss and songwriter and producer Ben West, revealing her next record is almost completed, while also honoring a heartbreaking milestone.

The three were honoring the birthday of Busbee, Pearce’s former producer, who tragically passed away in 2019 from terminal brain cancer. Pearce, Clauss and West were celebrating what would have been Busbee’s 49th birthday.

“Somewhere between 2016 and 2017, Busbee introduced me to these two guys and they quickly became small parts of my musical journey,” Pearce writes. “Fast forward almost 10 years and today we finished vocals on my fifth album… just the three of us now making what is absolutely my favorite record I’ve ever made, on Busbee’s birthday. We miss you, we love you… and there’s no way this is all by chance. Happy Birthday, Busbee. You live on.”

Pearce released hummingbird in 2024, followed by hummingbird: no rain, no flowers, with five new tracks. Earlier this year, the Kentucky native hinted she was already working on her next record.

“I feel really inspired and excited about creating new music. So you’re going to get this music way faster, I’m thinking probably by the end of the year,” Pearce hints to People.

Pearce also has big things planned for the remainder of this year, as she continues to expand her career.

“People like my heroes that continue to raise the bar and want to continue to reinvent themselves and just keep getting better,” Pearce says of her inspiration. “I think I’m just getting started and I really do want to make sure that I’m putting out music that continues to inspire others but also just inspires me as a songwriter.”

Follow Pearce on social media, and it’s quick to see how passionate she is about helping rising artists, as she once was, giving them a much-needed boost. It’s her way of giving back, after she was once on the receiving end of such generosity.

“That in itself is wild because I know that there were girls for me, even when I moved to Nashville, that I was so struck by wanting so badly to get to a place where I was like them,” the Grand Ole Opry member explains. “And now I have girls that are maybe on radio tour or on their first single that say that I inspire them, and you’re just like, ‘Huh?’”

“I’ve been so blessed to be able to call this my job, and to be able to have a voice and have a platform that is able to make any sort of impact,” she adds. “And I think as my career grows and as I continue to do this, I hope to get more involved and really dive into giving back even more.”
