Carly Pearce is working on a new album, one that will be her most authentic to date. Pearce’s Every Little Thing album came out in 2017. In the eight years since then, Pearce has released three more records, each one showing a bit more of who Pearce is as an artist, a songwriter and a person.
“I think with each album, I just get a little bit more sure of the kind of music that I want to make and the type of artist that I am,” Pearce tells the Cincinnati Enquirer. “I just think that I’m very, very sure of who I am. I’m just in a really good place of making music for me, which I think is, in return, making the best music that I’ve made.”
Pearce’s latest hummingbird album includes her Grammy-nominated “We Don’t Fight Anymore” collaboration with Chris Stapleton, plus her recent hit single, “Truck on Fire.” The Kentucky native hints her next record will be even more authentic.
“I think my music has just gotten more me,” Pearce says. “I don’t feel like I’m chasing anything anymore. I don’t feel like I’m trying to be successful. I don’t feel like I’m trying to make a name for myself. I feel like I’m now just able to make the kind of music that I always wanted to, which is really, really special.”
What Carly Pearce Has Said About Her Next Album
Earlier this year, Pearce hinted at what her next album would sound like, while honoring her late producer, Busbee, who passed away in 2019 from brain cancer.
“Somewhere between 2016 and 2017, Busbee introduced me to these two guys and they quickly became small parts of my musical journey,” Pearce writes, referring to producer and mixer Dave Clauss and songwriter and producer Ben West. “Fast forward almost 10 years and today we finished vocals on my fifth album… just the three of us now making what is absolutely my favorite record I’ve ever made, on Busbee’s birthday. We miss you, we love you… and there’s no way this is all by chance. Happy Birthday, Busbee. You live on.”

When Carly Pearce’s New Album Will Be Released
Carly Pearce has yet to reveal a title or release date for her next set of tunes. But she does say it will likely be in 2025.
“I feel really inspired and excited about creating new music. So you’re going to get this music way faster, I’m thinking probably by the end of the year,” Pearce tells People.
What Is Inspiring Carly Pearce’s Next Record
At the start of 2025, Pearce said she was looking to her own musical idols as she considered the music she wanted to release, and the kind of legacy she wanted to have in country music.
“People like my heroes that continue to raise the bar and want to continue to reinvent themselves and just keep getting better,” Pearce says of her inspiration. “I think I’m just getting started and I really do want to make sure that I’m putting out music that continues to inspire others but also just inspires me as a songwriter.”
