Chris Young is opening a bar in downtown Nashville! The singer announces Famous Friends will open in Nashville’s Midtown area later this year. The name comes from his 2021 hit with Kane Brown.
“I’m very excited for Famous Friends to be open in Nashville! I have been working on this as a passion project for a while now,” Young tells Billboard. “A sports bar that will be Nashville famous for a reason. Something completely different where you can bring all your friends for a great time!”
Famous Friends will be located near Tin Roof, on Demonbreun Street. An exact opening date has yet to be revealed.

Chris Young Has Top 25 Hit With “‘Til the Last One Dies”
Young currently has a Top 25 hit with “‘Til the Last One Dies.” The song, written by Ben Hayslip, Seth Mosley, and Jordan Walker, is from his I Didn’t Come Here To Leave album, his first on Black River Entertainment.
“I just thought the message on this one was so perfect,” Young tells Audacy. “I went to every single one of my friends, male, female, whatever, that were married or in a relationship, and they were all just blown away by this song, so I was like, ‘Okay, we gotta go with this one first. It’s just too perfect.’”
“‘Til the Last One Dies” is one of only a few that Young didn’t write for I Didn’t Come Here To Leave. Still, he knew the song was perfect for him the first time he heard it.
“I had a friend pitch me the song,” Young tells iHeart. “This is one of the few that’s on the record that I was not a co-writer on, but got a chance to sing it and produce it with my buddy, Andy [Sheridan]. I think if I was going to say why I was drawn to this song, not only is it a very new way to say ‘I love you’ to somebody in song form,. My favorite line is the line leading up to the hook, saying that he bought ‘A dozen roses …11 real ones, one fake one, and I’ll love you ’til the last one dies.’”
Chris Young Reveals His Biggest Lessons As An Artist
Young has been part of country music since winning Nashville Star in 2006. With two decades behind him, the Tennessee native has learned plenty over the years.
“You can fail and still come back from it,” Young says on the Takin’ a Walk podcast. “I get that everybody knows nobody’s perfect. But I remember the very first time after I’d finally started having No. 1s, and just any hit of any kind. I had five in a row, and then the sixth song didn’t work. We didn’t even make a video for it. There was a period where I had a No. 1, and then the next song only went to 23. And it was just sort of like. ‘Okay, where am I in the landscape of music? Did I pick the wrong songs? Do I need to change up my team? Do I need to change up something about me?’”
Fortunately, Young bounced back. He currently has 14 No. 1 singles.
