Chris Young Defends Dressing Up For Halloween: 'I Don't Care How Old I Get'

Chris Young still celebrates Halloween, and does it in a big way. A fan of all major holidays, Young has a special fondness for Halloween, especially the costumes.

“So my favorite thing that I like to do for Halloween is, I still like to dress up,” the 40-year-old says in a video shared on social media. “I don’t care how old I get. Decorating and dressing up during the holidays, and especially Halloween, is one of those things that I just love to do. I always have multiple costumes, and I always come correct with it.”

Chris Young Talks Celebrating Christmas

Young loves all of the holidays, but especially Christmas. The Tennessee native will embark on his inaugural holiday tour, the It Must Be Christmas – An Acoustic Evening with Chris Young Tour, which begins on November 20, in Rapid City, Iowa.

Young will perform songs from his 2016 It Must Be Christmas record, but he hints he may have more music coming.

“Never done one before. I’ve recorded a lot of Christmas music. There may be new Christmas music coming soon,” Young hints on Country Countdown USA. “I love that season. I love decorating for Christmas. The music from that holiday is really special. I’m going to do smaller rooms, Christmas at the beginning, hits in the middle, and more Christmas music at the end. We’re gonna make it fun. It’s gonna be a very different kind of show, and I’m excited about it.”

Young spends a lot of time on the road, but has never done a Christmas tour, until now.

“I’m just really excited to do a Christmas tour,” Young shares at a recent media event. “A lot of people have asked me for it. I’ve never done one. I know it’s not the norm for everybody else, but Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year.”

Chris Young’s ‘I Didn’t Come Here To Leave’ Album

Christmas came early for some of Young’s fans, with the release of his latest I Didn’t Come Here To Leave album. The record is his tenth, and his first on Black River Entertainment“

“This album, specifically, for me I think, is something really and truly special, for a lot of reasons,” Young says on Country Nights Live. “Not just because of the litany of songs that are on there, but because I left going, ‘I don’t feel like this art was abandoned. I feel like it is complete.’”
