The show airs at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT on ABC. It will stream the next day on Hulu.
Who Is Hosting:
Cody Johnson and Ashley McBryde are co-hosting the CMA Fest TV special. McBryde hosted last year with Jelly Roll.
“CMA Fest is a big deal,” Johnson tells The Tennessean. “But I’ve got Ashley McBryde by my side, so it makes me feel a little more confident. She’s already been here. This is her second time.”
Fortunately, McBryde is a big fan of hosting, especially CMA Fest.
“I love hosting,” she says backstage at CMA Fest. “I didn’t have any idea when I took the gig the first time, just how much I would enjoy it. Me and Jelly Roll had a great time. Got the call, ‘Would you like to do it again this year? And your co-host will be Cody Johnson.’ We’d been on tour together, we’ve got a great rapport. We’re sort of like cousin-y, feeling, not really brother and sister. But we appreciate what one another does, and we still rib at each other a little bit. And he’s a natural. He’s a natural at it. I hope I get to host with him again.”
