
Congratulations to Dolly Parton and Keith Urban! The two have just been announced as inductees into the Musicians Hall of Fame, along with Dann Huff, George Thorogood & The Destroyers, John Boylan, Leland Sklar, Michael McDonald, and Nicky Hopkins, with Hopkins being inducted posthumously.
“The Musicians Hall of Fame has inducted over 170 musicians, producers, engineer,s and industry icons,” Linda Chambers, co-founder and CEO of the Musicians Hall of Fame, says. “Each new class of inductees reminds us why we do what we do-preserving and celebrating the legacy of the musicians who bring songs to life. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome these legendary artists into the Musicians Hall of Fame.”
Why Dolly Parton Deserves To Be in the Musicians Hall of Fame
Few artists, of any genre, have accomplished as much as Parton. A member of both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Parton has released well over 50 albums since her debut Hello, I’m Dolly came out in 1968. In 2023, Parton released Rockstar, her first rock record. The project made history by hitting No. 1 on six different Billboard charts: Top Rock Albums, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Country Albums, Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and Independent Albums.
A musical about Parton’s life will debut on Broadway later this year. She will also soon open her Songteller Hotel in downtown Nashville. Parton has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. The 80-year-old has a hit single at radio now, with “Light of a Clear Blue Morning“, a song she sings withLainey Wilson, Reba McEntire, Miley Cyrus, and Queen Latifah.

Why Keith Urban Deserves To Be In the Musicians Hall of Fame
For more than 35 years, Urban has been part of country music. After relocating from Australia to the United States, Urban has proven himself to be an undeniable talent as a singer, songwriter, and guitar playing virtuoso. He also has a deep love of country music.
To date, Urban’s music has produced more than 11 billion streams. He is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and has been a coach on The Voice in Australia, American Idol, and more recently, The Road, a new reality TV talent show airing on CBS.
An outspoken supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Urban has spearhaed the “All For The Hall” benefit concerts, which have raised $4.3M for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
The Musicians Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Tuesday, April 28, at 7:30 PM, at the Fisher Center for Performing Arts. Tickets will be available beginning on February 10, beginning at 10:00 AM, at the Fisher Center website.
