Ella Langley Drops 'Never Met Anyone Like You' With a Surprising Country Artist [LISTEN]

Ella Langley has a new song out, and it’s another collaboration! The 26-year-old just dropped “Never Met Anyone Like You,” with HARDY. The song seems to be a feel-good romantic track, with lines like, “I’ve never met anyone like you / Darling, you’re one in a million / God couldn’t do it again if He tried to / I’ve never met anyone, never met anyone like you.”

Fortunately, Langley warns fans when announcing the track that there is a twist, saying, “This isn’t a love song.” Indeed, the song takes a surprising turn about halfway through, with the song saying, “‘Cause you said it was us till the end / Then you went and hooked up with my friend / And you blamed it on me / Left me crying in pieces.”

“Never Met Anyone Like You” is from Langley’s next album, the follow-up to his 2024 Hungover record.

“It’s unlike anything I’ve put out, and it’s the most me I’ve ever felt on a record,” Langley tells Billboard.

“There will be things this year with collaborations that will appease the fans,” she adds.

Langley is taking a cue from one of her musical heroes in how she shapes her career, especially as she works on her next set of tunes.

“I’m a tomboy [who] grew up with brothers, but I love to do my makeup and get dressed up,” Langley explains. “Jessi Colter was the outlaw of the outlaws. She didn’t put up with s–t, and I don’t either. I think the things they wrote about were very honest. That’s all I’m trying to do — write songs that mean something.”

Langley recently made history at the ACM Awards, taking home five wins. Not since Chris Stapleton in 2015 has a first-time nominee walked away with five ACM Awards.

“I’m at a loss for words, which, if you’ve ever met me before, you know that’s very hard to do,” Langley said backstage after her win. “Just grateful. Grateful is just the word I keep saying. It’s all I can say, really.”

The song comes after Langley is celebrating a No. 1 song with “You Look Like You Love Me,” her duet with Riley Green. It’s an achievement neither Langley nor Green ever expected to happen.

“I don’t think I even understood that before I mean here, the significance of it, and how hard it is to do,” Langley tells the CMA. “It’s not an easy thing. So, this song going No. 1, this being my first song to go No. 1, is crazy. It’s nuts, ’cause we wrote it as a joke. We wrote it as just something to bring a smile to our face, and it’s changing our lives, and has changed our lives. So, it’s very special.”

Langley currently has a Top 5 hit with “Weren’t For the Wind.” She is spending much of the remainder of the year on the road, touring both with Green and Morgan Wallen, in addition to headlining her own Still Hungover Tour. Her tour concludes with two headlining shows at the Ryman Auditorium in November. Find all of her music and upcoming shows at EllaLangley.com.
