Ella Langley is sharing new details about her next record. Langley, who has the No. 1 song right now with “Weren’t For the Wind,” reveals fans will have to wait a little bit longer for her sophomore album.
“My next record’s not gonna be out until 2026,” Langley tells Audacy. “I feel like people move on from their records so fast. They’re like, ‘Here’s a whole record of 20-something songs, and then we’re gonna give you one single off of it and then move on to the next record.’ And I think there’s something to be said with taking your time with making the record, and putting all those pieces in place where it can last a long time, last in a way where fans can keep digging into it and digging into it, and finding new songs that they love, and finding new little pieces about the record that’s different.”
Langley is trusting her own instincts as she puts the finishing touches on her new project.
“I’m really just trying to do what feels right to me,” the five-time ACM Award winner says. “I’m not really paying attention to what other artists have done, or also doing that, but still keeping my blinders up in the way where it’s like, this is my art. This is how I want to put it out. This is in the way that I think would be best for my artistry. And that’s what’s so cool about the team that I have is everyone really does… they see the vision with me and they believe in it and execute it.”

The 26-year-old does hint that the record will be much different than her freshman Hungover album, or the deluxe Still Hungover.
“This next record I’m going to put out is very much a concept piece,” Langley reveals on Country Countdown USA. “It’s different than what I’ve done, but it’s still me. I can’t wait to talk about it, but I can’t right now. There are so many layers to this. It’s not going to come out til next year. We may put out a single before then. It’s the coolest thing I’ve gotten to do. I’m co-producing the whole thing. I’m so excited.”
Langley did release one song from hew new album, “Never Met Anyone Like You,” a collaboration with HARDY. She hints he might not be the only guest on the record.
“It’s unlike anything I’ve put out, and it’s the most me I’ve ever felt on a record. … There will be things this year with collaborations that will appease the fans,” Langley tells Billboard.
Langley is going to have to work on her album on the road. She is headlining her own Still Hungover Tour, while also joining Riley Green on his Damn Country Music Tour, along with select dates on Morgan Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour.
Langley will conclude her 2025 tour schedule with two headlining shows at the Ryman Auditorium. Find all of Langley’s music and upcoming shows at EllaLangley.com.
