Gretchen Wilson is the Season 13 winner of FOX‘s The Masked Singer! The “Redneck Woman” singer stumped the judges by performing as Pearl, singing songs like Dolly Parton’s “Here You Come Again,” Whitney Houston’s “Saving All My Love For You,” The Pretenders’ “I’ll Stand By You” and more.
Andy Grammer was the runner-up on The Masked Singer. Other contestants this season included Meg Donnelly, who came in third, and Brian Kelley, who took fourth place.
“This is without a doubt the craziest thing I ever agreed to do, and it ended up being one of the most rewarding,” Wilson says. “The cast and crew were some of the craziest people I’ve ever worked with, and they all became like family. ‘Pearl’ is safely back in the ocean, but her gloves may resurface on the ACM Red Carpet!”
Wilson’s win comes during a busy time for the talented star. She recently announced she is joining the inaugural season of the new CBS show, The Road. Wilson teams up with Blake Shelton, who is executive producing the show with Taylor Sheridan, and Keith Urban, who is the performer in various cities, while contestants try to earn fanbases by opening for him night after night.
Wilson is the official tour manager on The Road.
“Stepping into the role of ‘tour manager’ for The Road has allowed me to take everything I’ve learned over all of my years of touring and pour it right back into these emerging musicians,” Wilson says. “Helping them sharpen their talents to capture the attention of these crowds across America, and guiding them through the real and raw grind of life on the road, has been a highlight of my career.”
“Working with Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Taylor Sheridan and the rest of the team and our incredible crew was absolutely amazing,” she adds. “It was an honor to be a part of this team and I can’t wait for the world to watch!”
Wilson is also heading to the 2025 ACM Awards. She was recently announced as a presenter, along with Martina McBride, Carly Pearce, Crystal Gayle, ERNEST, Gabby Barrett, Jordan Davis, Lee Ann Womack, Lionel Richie, Little Big Town, Parker McCollum, Riley Green, Rita Wilson, Sara Evans and The Oak Ridge Boys.
Wilso will present the trophy for Female Artist of the Year, 20 years after winning in the same category. This year’s nominees for Female Artist of the Year are Kelsea Ballerini, Ella Langley, Megan Moroney, Kacey Musgraves and Lainey Wilson.
Shelton, Clint Black, Sugarland and Wynonna Judd will pull double-duty as performers and presenters. McEntire will host the 2025 ACM Awards, for the 19th time in her career. Langley leads the list of nominees, with eight nominations. She is followed by Cody Johnson, Morgan Wallen and Wilson, who have seven each.
The 2025 ACM Awards will air at 8:00 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime.
