hey guys it's Gail with everything Nash
0:02
backstage at the Country Music Cruise
0:04
with the
0:05
ISX I'm so excited that they're here
0:08
okay this is your first hopefully not
0:10
last Country Music Cruise talk about it
0:13
well we felt so honored to be invited on
0:15
this last year and we've been looking
0:16
forward to it all year um it's great you
0:19
know it's a different group of people a
0:20
lot of them have never heard us before
0:22
so we're hopefully making some new fans
0:24
this this year but to be on here with
0:26
all of our peers and other artists that
0:28
we love so much it's so great to get to
0:30
all their shows and hear them live and
0:31
and just it's just been a great
0:33
experience so far we're having a great
0:34
time well hopefully we will see more of
0:37
them on the Country Music Cruise one of
0:38
the things you're doing you have two
0:40
opery related shows which leads me into
0:42
what it feels like to be oery members
0:46
oh well you know somebody asked uh asked
0:49
us when we became members what it felt
0:51
like to be opery members and the only
0:54
thing I could think of to say was what
0:56
does it what does it mean for you for me
0:58
to be an opery member you know it's
1:00
something we've done for 30 years we've
1:01
played the opery for 30 years and it's
1:04
always felt like home but it's always
1:06
been like hey we we're allowed to sit on
1:08
the porch and but now we're allowed in
1:11
the house and visit you know so it's
1:13
it's great it's incredible you know it's
1:15
it's one of the one of the most
1:17
spiritually or Earthly I would say it's
1:19
probably the most amazing thing that's
1:20
ever happened to me personally so I'm
1:23
other than my wife and my kids he had to
1:25
say can I add something that so uh like
1:30
then said we've been going to the oper
1:31
for many many years and the night that
1:33
we actually got inducted which we didn't
1:36
know we were going to be inducted into
1:37
the oper asked they gave our ear packs
1:40
to us and everybody had their name on
1:42
them Sonia Ben Becky mine had mom on the
1:47
ear pack and I showed my kids I what is
1:51
it ever since then my ear pack says mom
1:54
and everybody on the opery calls me Mom
1:56
oh I'm opery mom Dan Rogers B me a shirt
2:00
or made a shirt an opera Mom oh I love
2:03
that I love that and I know you guys
2:05
perform at the Opera a lot you guys also
2:07
have one of the busiest touring
2:09
schedules of any band right now and that
2:11
is such a big deal coordinating
2:13
everything with so many people in your
2:14
group talk about what why you want to
2:16
keep touring so much well we love to
2:18
tour I mean live music to me is where
2:20
it's at you know one thing that's really
2:22
weird about 2025 and it's beautiful but
2:25
anybody can be an artist but until you
2:28
see them live do you really see the true
2:30
talent and understand what they can do
2:33
and how well they can do it and so my
2:36
favorite thing is to see an artist live
2:38
and more than like YouTube can be great
2:40
and the videos are awesome but there's
2:42
nothing like a live show um to just
2:44
really highlight and get to know them
2:46
really you get to know your your your
2:48
favorite artists by seeing them in shows
2:50
and so we love to perform life and I
2:53
wanted to add um you know after 2020
2:55
when none of us could tour for almost a
2:57
whole year it's given us a different
2:59
passion for touring and and appreciation
3:01
for being back out there and the fans
3:03
you know getting to have them come back
3:05
in and some of them are still slow
3:06
trickling like back into the groove of
3:08
it but we just love being with the
3:10
people we love getting to meet them and
3:11
talk to them after the shows and and it
3:13
really means a lot to us the fans and we
3:15
wouldn't be out here without them so we
3:16
like to go see them once in a while it's
3:18
such a diverse show if you get to have a
3:20
chance go see the isacs okay new music
3:23
what's happening we have a brand new CD
3:25
that just came out in October of this
3:28
past year and it's called Praise And
3:29
worship more than a hollow Hallelujah
3:31
and it's a collection of 11 songs of
3:33
praise and worship CCM songs like the
3:35
goodness of God you say uh Reckless Love
3:38
um oceans and Psalm 23 a bunch of songs
3:42
that have been huge songs in that world
3:45
we've never sang them before and so we
3:47
recorded them our style uh and also
3:49
added one original song that we wrote
3:51
that's the title more than a hollow
3:52
Hallelujah so we're it's doing really
3:54
well and it's been a different uh thing
3:56
for us to do and it's opened a lot of
3:57
doors for us to do something in that
3:59
world as well
4:00
and and tell them about we also recorded
4:04
um this past year a country
4:07
record with Dave
4:09
Cobb the Dave cob so we've not talked
4:12
about it yet we don't know when it's
4:13
coming out we just we're trying to find
4:14
the right home for it and the right
4:17
place for it but let me just tell you
4:18
it's it's incredible I mean just the the
4:20
feel of it is it's it's highly anointed
4:23
is country Bluegrass positive it is it's
4:27
a it's a country Americana
4:31
um it's it's a it's a ethereal type you
4:35
know we recorded it in in at RCA the big
4:38
room in RCA we did almost all the vocals
4:40
live so it is just just I don't even
4:42
know how to explain it it's very
4:44
different I it's hard to categorize it
4:46
as a country record it probably more of
4:48
an Americana record but it is it's a
4:50
personal personal record 70s music like
4:54
to me like a the sound of witch lineman
4:57
or something like that you know those
4:58
kind of sounds that
5:00
come together with like an Americana
5:01
folky sound I don't know how to describe
5:03
it either well Dave produces Chris
5:05
Stapleton and he's won lots of awards
5:07
for him and with him and I kind of I
5:09
think it's kind of like a mix between
5:11
Alinda ronat 70s country rock album and
5:15
Chris Stapleton record it's got elements
5:16
of all that stuff so I we're excited for
5:18
y'all to hear it and just help us pray
5:20
that it it uh reaches the right Avenue
5:22
to be out to the people and then when it
5:24
comes out we'll have to talk again oh
5:26
well let's do it The Isaacs guys
