Keith Urban just dropped his High And A(Live) album, 20 songs recorded on his High And Alive World Tour. For Urban, nothing will ever top performing live for him, which is what inspired his High And A(Live) record.
“When I think about touring, I just think about the two hours on stage,” Urban shares. “Everything else is whatever it is, but that two hours on stage, every minute that we’re on stage is why everybody’s even out there. It’s why everyone’s backstage. It’s why there are trucks everywhere. That’s why there are guys up in the air rigging. That’s why there are caterers. That’s why there are just people parking cars. That’s why every single person is doing what they’re doing is just for that two hours that I’m on stage. And so, I’m only ever thinking about that being the best it can be every single night.”
When announcing the live album, Urban said the tour and album name perfectly reflect how he feels every time he takes the stage.
“Playing live is what I live to do,” Urban says. “Looking out from a stage and seeing people singing, forgetting about all the stress in their lives, cutting loose, and feeling ALIVE – that’s what it’s about for me.”
After releasing High And A(Live), Urban revealed why creating a live album was so important to him.
“A massive thank you to every one of you who came out to see us on the HIGH AND ALIVE WORLD TOUR this year (maybe even a few times..!!), traveled the miles, jumped through whatever hoops it took, pulled in favors, made signs, sang, danced, and were ALIVE in the moment with us for 2+ hours every night,” he writes on social media. “This live album is not only FOR you, it features YOU, and simply couldn’t have happened without YOU!!!!”

What Keith Urban Previously Said About His Live Album
Before Urban released High And A(Live), he was hinting about a project that captured some of the magic of his concerts. In October, he released a deluxe version of his latest album, HIGH, with six new live songs.
“We have a live album coming out sometime this year,” Urban revealed on Country Countdown USA. “I’ve never done one. It’s kind of crazy. We felt on this tour, it was feeling musically special, the crowd energy was really special, so let’s start capturing some of these and see if we can do an album.”
Urban hinted that he was also working on another record at the same time, which means that he will likely have something else new to announce in early 2026.
