Lainey Wilson is expanding her business empire yet again. The singer-songwriter announces the launch of her own Western-themed jewelry, in partnership with The Jewelry Group. The collection, set to debut this month, includes rings, necklaces, earrings and more.
“I’m so excited about partnering with The Jewelry Group on this collection of pieces,” Wilson says (via Women’s Wear Daily). “As a lifelong lover of the American West, I worked with the team to design pieces to help bring out your inner cowgirl and the beauty and strength she holds. I hope you love it and I can’t wait to see you all decked out!”
Wilson’s jewelry might be separate from her soaring country music career, but the 33-year-old says that the jewelry, and her other business ventures, are all still tied together.
“What I learned from all the opportunities that I’ve been given is, I know that it started with my songwriting and my storytelling, but I’ve never wanted to be scared to walk through doors that maybe felt a little scary,” Wilson explains. “Whether it was acting for Yellowstone and even doing this collection, I’ve learned a lot. I’ve learned just that I love being creative, and I love telling a story, and that’s the fun part about all this.”
Wilson has a Top 20 hit with “Somewhere Over Laredo.” The song, written by Trannie Anderson, Dallas Wilson and Andy Albert, is from her Whirlwind Deluxe album, out on August 22.

“I spend a lot of my time in the air on a plane, headed to the next town, to the next show,” Wilson tells iHeart, explaining the story behind the song. “And I catch myself just looking out the window and dreaming, and thinking, and reminiscing, talking to God, writing songs. And I feel like this song right here, it gave me an opportunity to step back into a pair of shoes that I wore years ago, and I got to tell a story from that perspective. And that’s what country music is. It’s about taking you back to a certain time and place, and memory and feeling, and that’s what we wanted to capture in this song right here.”
Wilson is also planning a wedding to Devlin “Duck” Hodges, after getting engaged in February, although she admits much of the planning has to happen on the road.
“We don’t get to see each other all the time, and I do live a lot of my life on the road, so we’re also kind of figuring it out as we go, which is fun,” Wilson tells People, adding that her touring schedule forces them to set aside time for each other.
“You have to definitely carve out the time,” Wilson acknowledges. “It has to be something that you’re very aware of, and you’re like, ‘Okay, I’ve got a day off here in ten days. I’ve got to dedicate that day to spend time with my person.’
“And we both need that and deserve that, and it’s always great,” she adds. “We just try to soak up those moments as best as we possibly can.”
Although Wilson has said she will wear a dress and have a jazz band for the ceremony, she also says she is open to the idea of eloping as well.
“I’m so excited. He made me wait four years, so I’m gonna make him wait four years for the planning,” Wilson tells the CMA. “I am so happy, so thrilled … We haven’t started planning yet, but whenever we do, I think it’s going to be something very simple. Everything else in our life is a big old to-do, so who knows? We might have to run to the courthouse.”
