What Luke Combs Says About Touring in 2026

Combs took a lot of time off in 2025, to be with his family. But he hints that he has big plans for 2026, which will have him spending a lot of the year on the road.

“I got a big tour coming next year,” Combs revealed in May. “I just kind of finalized a lot of the details on that here in the last week or so. So new record coming up soon, new tour coming up. I’m just excited. I’m excited and I’m back. I’m back doing stuff and being around, and obviously spending time at home. I just wanted to be able to talk to you guys again, me to you. I know I used to do stuff like this a lot, and I miss doing it. Love you guys and see you soon.”

Luke Combs’ “Back In The Saddle” Single

Combs currently has a Top 5 single with “Back In The Saddle.” The song is written by Combs, along with Jonathan Singleton and Dan Isbell. For Combs, it’s also the perfect way to introduce his next project.

“The thing that made me want to make ‘Back In The Saddle’ the lead single for my next record is, I think, that’s kind of what this song’s about,” Combs tells Audacy. “It’s about being in the studio, just getting back in the swing of things, letting people know that you’ve got new music coming out. I’m excited about being around and being on tour, and being in the studio and writing songs. Just being around, and I’m excited for people to check it out.”

Singleton and Isbell began the song, before bringing it to Comb to finish together.

“Jonathan and Dan had sent me the chorus to this thing,” Combs recounts. “They’re like, ‘Is this in the right direction…? And I remember being like, ‘Dude, this is a me thing for sure.’ Came in a few days later, got together with those guys, and woodshedded this thing. It’s just fun. I got to write this song with two of my best friends. That’s just such a unique thing to get to do. And to feel so confident in the writing process, and being able to trust those guys, and those guys being able to trust me. It turned out really great. I think it’s going to be a huge tune for me. I really, really do.”

Luke Comb’ “Back In The Saddle” Video

NASCAR greats Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Richard Petty both appear in the video, which was shot in Combs’ home state of North Carolina.

“Well, basically Luke texted me and said, ‘Hey man, I’m gonna do a music video for this song,’” Earnhardt, Jr. remembers (via American Songwriter). “He sent me the song, he said, ‘Would you wanna be in it?’ I said, ‘Yes, absolutely.’ And so we started talking about what we would do, where we would do it. They thought, man you know, let’s get Next Gen car and go to Charlotte Motor Speedway.”
