Luke Combs is very much a hands-on dad. The father of two is touring very little this year, while he focuses on being a father to his two sons, three-year-old Tex and Beau, who just turned two. Combs, who shares the boys with his wife, Nicole, is anything but a superstar when he is at home.
“[It’s] about as regular as it can get. Wake up, get the kids up, cook breakfast,” Combs says on Country Nights Live. “Go play outside. Cook lunch. Nap time. That’s pretty much it.”
When asked if he is by now adept at packing lunches, the 35-year-old says there is no need for his children to eat anywhere but their modest home.
“I don’t need to pack them. They don’t go anywhere,” Combs says. “There’s no school or daycare or anything. They’re just at the house. I don’t have to pack lunch. I just gotta make it and put it on the table.”
Combs admits he is actually happy to do all the dad stuff, including diapers.
“I’m in there. I’m just in the mix,” Comes reveals. “I’m ripping diapers and doing baths. There’s nothing I’m afraid to do. There’s nothing that’s beneath me, or whatever you want to call it. I just truly am full-time – if I’m not on the road, I’m just literally a stay-at-home dad.”

Why Luke Combs Isn’t Touring Much In 2025
Combs announced earlier this year that he wanted to be home as much as possible, to spend time with his family. After missing out on some key moments, including the birth of his second son, the North Carolina native says he wanted to spend more time as a father.
“We’re only doing festivals this year,” Combs tells People “We got 20-something shows this year. I’ve already done ten of them. I got 14 more shows for the rest of the whole year. I want to be home with my kids. I want to see my kids grow up and I want them to know that they’re important to me.”
Luke Combs’ Tour Plans For 2026
Combs is staying home most of this year, but he hints he has big plans for a massive tour in 2026.
“I got a big tour coming next year,” Combs shares on social media. “I just kind of finalized a lot of the details on that here in the last week or so. So new record coming up soon, new tour coming up. I’m just excited. I’m excited and I’m back. I’m back doing stuff and being around, and obviously spending time at home. I just wanted to be able to talk to you guys again, me to you. I know I used to do stuff like this a lot, and I miss doing it. Love you guys and see you soon.”
