New music is here from Luke Combs! The North Carolina native just dropped a clip of a new song, “Sleepless in a Hotel Room.” The song is likely from a new album. Combs has been teasing a new announcement on his website, with a countdown indicating the news will come later this week.
Combs shares a clip of “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” on social media, without giving any context. It seems to be about his relationship with his wife, Nicole. The song says in part, “I wonder if you’re staring at our bedroom ceiling / Lying right beside a glass of wine / I wonder if you’re tossing and turning / Wishing you were kissing me / Staring at our bedroom ceiling / The morning light can’t come too soon / Lying here not next to you / Wide awake I dream of you / Sleepless in a hotel room.”

Luke Combs’ My Kinda Saturday Night Tour
Combs will likely spend a lot of nights away from home in 2026. The father of two, with one on the way, will spend much of the year on his My Kinda Saturday Night Tour, joined by Dierks Bentley and Thomas Rhett, along with The Castellows, Ty Myers, The Teskey Brothers, Jake Worthington, and Thelma & James.
Unlike some other artists, Combs picks all of his opening acts himself, including Rhett and Bentley.
“Guys that I think are great guys, and guys that I’m a fan of first and foremost,” Combs says on SiriusXM’s The Highway, when asked how he picks the artists he wants to tour with him. “I pick all my openers. People ask me that. They’re like, ‘Do you get to pick the openers?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, yeah. I get to pick the openers, for sure.’ No one’s like, ‘You’re taking this guy.’ But I guess there maybe are people that don’t really care about the openers. I just can’t imagine that. ”
For Combs, it comes down to who he wants to spend time with while on tour. And also, which artists his fans will enjoy.
“For me, I really like to try to curate the experience,” he explains. “Like, I know Dierks puts on a great show. I know TR puts on a great show. I know those things. I can know if I’m out there, the crowd’s gonna be fired up. And it’s gonna make me work to have to put on a great show. You can’t phone it in after playing after Dierks. You can’t phone it in after playing after TR.”
Luke Combs’ Plans For His Next Album
Combs recently released The Prequel, three songs that include his current Top 20 single, “Days Like These.” He also just had a No. 1 hit, with “Back In The Saddle,” from his next project.
“I’ve already recorded, I don’t know, over 30 songs, I would think,” Combs tells Audacy. “I don’t know that there’s any plans to do like the big album thing. I just don’t know if I’d love that idea. There’s nothing against it. I mean, obviously it works really well.”
Big album or not, the 35-year-old is excited about everything on his next set of tunes.
“I’m really stoked about everything that we’ve recorded. I think it’s really, really strong stuff,” Combs hints. “Obviously, everyone says that about every album they’ve ever done, so take that with a grain of salt. But it’s really just up to people how good it is, but I’m really excited about it. I’m really stoked to be getting back into it.”
