Rascal Flatts are heading back out on tour in 2026! The trio just announced dates for their Life Is A Highway Tour next year, kicking off on January 15 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
“What a ride the past year has been! We’re so excited to continue this tour, the response we’ve received from everyone has been overwhelming and humbling,” Jay DeMarcus says. “We’ve truly had such a blast over the past year getting back in front of our fans out on the road, and we thought, ‘Why not keep the party going?’”
Rascal Flatts will be joined by Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane for the tour. Alaina joined Rascal Flatts for part of their 2025 tour, before coming off the road ahead of the birth of her first child, Beni Doll.

The Future Of Rascal Flatts
All signs seem to point to Rascal Flatts being back together for good. Earlier this year, Rascal Flatts released Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets, their first album in eight years. They also launched their first tour since their 2020 split, with the 2025 Life Is A Highway Tour.
In 2021, Joe Don Rooney got sober. It changed everything for him and the future of Rascal Flatts.
“It’s like a big piece of myself was missing,” Rooney tells the CMA. “Jumping back in with these guys again, being on tour the first three months this year, and then being back at CMA Fest, it feels like it’s back, like the piece has been put back in place. It’s so special.”
Although neither DeMarcus, Rooney nor lead singer Gary LeVox have commented specifically on their plans for a new album, the three do seem to plan on being together for a long, long time.
“I don’t think we’ll ever be one of those bands that can’t play and make music somehow,” DeMarcus says. “And it may be years from now that we’re just doing the Opry a few times a year, and old men just sitting on our porch, getting around playing with our guitars. But I think the three of us will be making music somehow until one of us kicks the bucket.”
