Ray Stevens is on the mend after suffering a fall on Sunday, March 29, which resulted in a broken neck. Following a brief hospitalization, Stevens is now at home, and expected to make a full recovery.
Stevens, who is currently wearing a neck brace per doctor’s orders, has not spoken publicly about his injury. But he does say he is still eager to release his new album, Favorites Old & New, on Friday, April 10. The project is being released on Curb Records.
“I had a lot of fun creating this album, Favorites Old & New,” Stevens says. “It really does contain a few of my favorite old songs as well as favorite new ones penned by some talented writers. I just hope Ray Stevens fans enjoy it as much as Ray Stevens!”

Ray Stevens Recovers From Heart Attack
The fall isn’t the only health setback Stevens has experienced. In 2025, Stevens suffered a heart attack, which resulted in him needing two surgeries. As a result, Stevens made the decision to sell his popular CabaRay venue in Nashville.
“With my recent health problems, it’s probably time to slow down, and selling CabaRay is the first step,” Stevens said at the time. “But in the interim, I still plan on doing shows once I’m fully recovered. I still have a lot I want to do in the recording studio, so I’ll focus all of my energy in that direction, along with making videos to go along with the music from time to time.”
Fortunately, Stevens is still able to make music. See a track listing for Favorites Old & New below. Cards can be sent to Stevens at 5724 River Road, Nashville, TN 37209.
