A new album is coming from Riley Green, likely in 2026. The Alabama native, who has a Top 25 hit with his “Don’t Mind If I Do” duet with Ella Langley, says he is hard at work on a new project, which he hopes to release soon.
“I’ve got a lot of songs that we’ve already got demoed and I’m really excited about,” Green tells Country Living. “So we’ll start looking at a timeline for releasing new music and hopefully an album somewhere at the top of next year. It’s a great time. It’s always nice when things seem like they’re working.”
Riley Green’s ‘Don’t Mind If I Do’ Album
Green’s latest Don’t Mind If I Do album came out in October of 2024. That project includes not only his current single with the title track, but also his recent No. 1 single, “Worst Way.”
“I think that stylistically, what I loved about the album as a whole is that it had a lot of different types of songs on it,” Green explains. “‘Worst Way’ and ‘Jesus Saves’ are two very different songs, and I wrote them both within about a week of each other. They came from a creative space that I was in, and I think I just kind of stayed in that space through the beginning of this year, and I’m still writing.”

How Riley Green Created His New Album
Green has yet to reveal a title or release date for his next set of tunes. But he hints that he already has plenty of songs for his new project.
“When you put an album out, you don’t really stop writing,” says the singer. “We got that album recorded, and we got the finished project, and then you’ve got three months before the release date.”
“I’ve got a page of notes that’s just thousands of titles that I’ve thought of throughout the day,” he adds. “I’m never really lacking in songs. The tough part I have is picking which ones we’re going to record.”
The Songs on Riley Green’s Next Album
Chances are, Green won’t have a lot of love songs on his next album. The 36-year-old says he has a much easier time writing songs about the end of a relationship than actually being in one.
“Breakup songs always come pretty naturally to me; for some reason,” Green reveals. “It’s a lot harder for me to write love songs; I have to physically sit down and make myself do that. Breakup songs and sad country music have always been what I love about the genre as a whole. George Jones is one of my favorites for that reason. All the stories he told were so true to his life, it seemed like you really believed it, and they were all songs that made you want to pull over and cry driving down the road.”
Green just released a five-song acoustic Midtown Sessions EP, which includes a cover of Tim McGraw‘s “Cowboy in Me.” Find all of Green’s music and upcoming shows at RileyGreenMusic.com.
