Scotty McCreery Postpones Upcoming Show Due To Hurricane Erin

Scotty McCreery is postponing an upcoming show, due to the potential of damage from Hurricane Erin. McCreery shares the news on social media, revealing the concert will now take place next year instead.

“Due to the projected path of Hurricane Erin, and for the safety of everyone involved, my concert scheduled for August 22, 2025 at Morris Farm will be rescheduled to May 23, 2026,” McCreery announces. “All current tickets will be honored for the new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, please contact your original point of sale for a full refund. Please note refunds must be requested within thirty days.

“We appreciate your understanding,” he adds, “and look forward to seeing you at the show.”

Refund requests are available at ETix.com.

According to USA Today, parts of the state’s Outer Banks were already being evacuated due to potential heavy winds and dangerous storm surge.

Scotty McCreery’s Support of North Carolina

McCreery is born and raised in North Carolina, which is where he still resides. Following the deadly Hurricane Helene last fall, which caused extensive damage, McCreery vowed to do all he could to help those in need.

“It’s devastating,” McCreery told American Songwriter at the time. “We’re trying to do what we can to help. We’re in talks with the other artists about doing some kind of thing. … That doesn’t happen overnight.”

“That’s going to be a minute,” he added, speaking about the recovery efforts. “Obviously, it’s scary.”

McCreery performed as part of the Concert for Carolina, spearheaded by Luke Combs and Eric Church. He later donated a portion of the proceeds from his “Carolina To Me” song  Samaritan’s Purse, to help in the ongoing recovery efforts.

Scotty McCreery’s Hit Single, “Bottle Rockets”

McCreery has a hit single at radio with “Bottle Rockets,” a collaboration with Hootie & the Blowfish, featuring their “Hold My Hand” single. McCreery and Hootie & the Blowfish’s lead singer Darius Rucker are already good friends, but that didn’t make asking him to sing on the song any easier.

“We’re in the same fantasy league together,” McCreery recalls on Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen. “I love the guy. But, I was kind of nervous to ask him to do it, because I was like, ‘This has gotta be one of their babies. I don’t know if they’ll even want to touch this.’ But they loved it, and they were so gracious and supportive of it. So having them on, just game-changer.”

“Our love of sports is kind of what brought us together, like NC State,” he continues. “A lot of people in the Hootie & the Blowfish camp went to NC State, and that’s where I went to school, so we’ve got a little friendly rivalry there. We’ve been to football games together, and we got to do C2C overseas together, and I think that’s when we really became super close.”

McCreery and Hootie & the Blowfish recorded their parts for the song separately. They recently said they would love to perform the song together at the upcoming CMA Awards.

“Bottle Rockets” is on McCreery’s latest Scooter & Friends EP, out now. Find all of his music and upcoming shows at ScottyMcCreery.com.
