Scotty McCreery has a new song coming out, and it’s with an iconic rock band. McCreery announces on social media that “Bottle Rockets” will be out on Thursday, May 15. McCreery also shares a clip of the song, which features Hootie & the Blowfish’s “Hold My Hand,” the group’s debut single, released in 1994.
Footage from the music video, starring lead singer Darius Rucker, also appears in the clip.
McCreery has been teasing “Bottle Rockets” on social media. The new song comes after McCreery’s recent hit single, “Fall of Summer,” the second single from his 2024 Rise & Fall album.

McCreery is gearing up for another kind of collaboration this year, but not with a new song. The North Carolina native will join fellow Grand Ole Opry member Dustin Lynch on a co-headlining Two For The Road Tour, beginning this fall.
“I think it’s going to be fun for us,” McCreery says, while speaking to Lynch. “I think it’s going to be fun for the fans. I think it’s going to be — if they’ve seen you before, if they’ve seen me before, I think it’s going to be a different vibe, different show that they haven’t seen before.”
Before that, McCreery will headline his own UK Tour, which begins on May 24 in Belfast, Ireland.
“It’s been too long and I cannot wait to come back to the UK,” McCreery said when the tour was announced. “We’ve had so many e-mails and social media posts from fans asking us to return, and I’m happy to say ‘we’re coming!’ I’ve never been to Belfast or Birmingham before, and I am looking forward to visiting those cities. I’ve only been to Glasgow as part of C2C a few years ago, so I’m excited to come on my own. And the band and I had a blast the last time we were in London and Manchester, so I knew we had to come back there. It’s always special to come and perform in the UK!”
McCreery is releasing his 2018 Seasons Change, his third studio album, on vinyl. Seasons Change: Platinum Edition will be out on June 20. The record will include four bonus acoustic tracks , with “In Between,” “Five More Minutes,” “This Is It” and “Still.”
“The Seasons Change album was truly life-changing for me,” says McCreery. “After experiencing both some career highs and lows, I was starting over. For the first time, I co-wrote all the songs and felt like the project was truly me. It has been both gratifying and confidence-building to see how the fans, radio and streaming have embraced the music from this album and me. I’m a guy who loves to look back, and I celebrate the release of this new expanded edition and all the accomplishments we’ve made since the original album came out, while also looking ahead to making new dreams come true.”
McCreery was also just announced as a performer at Nissan Stadium for CMA Fest on Thursday, June 5. Pre-order “Bottle Rockets,” and find all of McCreery’s music and upcoming shows at ScottyMcCreery.com.
