3 New Nashville Restaurants Opening Soon

Nashville’s restaurant scene is showing signs of hope and growth, even amid the coronavirus pandemic. While several restaurants have been forced to close in recent months, a few new eateries will soon open in Nashville, offering eclectic fare, even during the challenges surrounding COVID-19. Read on to find out the three that we are most excited about.

1. Pies by Gigi

You already know how great Gigi’s Cupcakes are, and soon there will be another way to satisfy your sweet tooth. Pies by Gigi will open on August 31 in Brentwood, located just outside of Nashville. in the Brentwood Commons shopping center on Franklin Road. In addition to pies, the restaurant will offer coffees and teas, along with other food items, including quiche, scones, casseroles and more.

“Gigi’s Cupcakes will always be my first love and it’ll always be my first baby, but my real love has always been wanting to open a pie shop,” owner Gigi Butler told the Nashville Business Journal. “For the last 20 years, that’s all I’ve wanted to do is open one pie shop, have my daughter come in and help me sweep the floors, and do her homework there and have a piece of pie. I want this to be a place where people can come in and feel loved.”

Even better news, starting in October, the pies will be available to ship.

2. The Study at The Register

If you’re a fan of craft cocktails, this might be your new favorite place. The Study, located on the first floor of the private social club, The Register, will offer a drink experience unlike anything else, including (according to Nashville Lifestyles), an “enviable craft beverage program, rare wine list, designer ice program, table-side cocktail service, and a menu of elevated bar fare.”

New York City company Liquid Lab will be in charge of the unique drinks, which include The Fine Line made with gin, pomegranate juice, mint, and CBD-infused lime juice, and the Centerfold, which features garden beet-infused Tito’s Vodka, basil syrup, hand-squeezed lemon juice, and beet-infused molecular foam and black pepper.

The Study, tentatively scheduled to open in September, is located at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Demonbreun in downtown Nashville. Reservations are required.

3. Savi Provisions

Savi Provisions, based out of Atlanta, will soon have a new home in Nashville, offering not only groceries and market items, but a place to grab a bite to eat as well. Taking the spot of H.G. Hill Urban Market, at 415 Church Street, Savi Provisions will offer everything from a coffee and juice bar to baked goods, sandwiches, breakfast options and more.

“We have wanted to expand outside of our hometown of Atlanta for quite some time now,” owner Paul Nair said in a statement. “Nashville has always felt like a sister city to us, and we look forward to integrating into the downtown neighborhood this fall. We are honored to be a part of Nashville’s historic downtown.”
