5 Things to See at Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in September

Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival is back this September, promising two days of fun for the whole family. The event, held on September 24 and 25 at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm, will have non-stop music, along with children’s activities, food trucks, art, crafts and more. Keep reading for five things not to miss at this year’s Pilgrimage Festival.

1. The music

Pilgrimage Festival is bringing an all-star lineup this year, which includes headlining performances by Brandi Carlile on Saturday night, and Chris Stapleton on Sunday night. But there are also plenty of well-known acts who will grace the various stages, including Marty Stuart, Elle King, The Avett Brothers, Better Than Ezra, Jon Batiste, Brittney Spencer and many, many more.

2. The food

Once again, Pilgrimage Festival will have plenty of food trucks, with something for everyone’s palate. This year’s food trucks will include Pinchy’s Lobster, Moosic City Ice Cream, The Mac Shack, Creole Roll, Smokey Dawggs, The Pharmacy Burger, King of Pops and Fruit Tea Chicks, among others. Whether you’re craving something decadent or healthy, there will be numerous options to choose from at this year’s Pilgrimage Festival.

3. Lil’ Pilgrims Family Stage

It’s rare that a music festival is welcoming to children too, but fortunately, Pilgrimage Festival really is an all-ages event. This year, Grammy winner Ralph Covert of Ralph’s World will serve as emcee and curator, offering fun for all ages, with entertainment that includes singing pirates, a pirate play ship, a series of interactive craft workshops and the Mare Barn Theater with puppet shows, kids participation-based activities and more. Note: children ten years of age and younger can get into Pilgrimage Festival free with a paying adult. Talk about a win-win.

4. Community Village

Community Village gives festival attendees the opportunity to give back to causes they are passionate about. The area will feature partner organizations who strive to “nurture, invest and develop opportunities for need-based citizens and to support education, parks and healthy ecosystems in Williamson County,” per the event’s website. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet people impacted by the organizations.

5. Craft Beer Hall

Not much says music festival, besides music, more than a good drink, and thankfully, there are plenty of options at this year’s Pilgrimage Festival. Described as a “beer lover’s dream,” the Craft Beer Hall promises eight of the Asheville, NC-based Wicked Weed Brewing’s most popular and seasonal beers, along with numerous local and regional brews on draft. Both NCAA and NFL programming will also be displayed on the LED screens throughout Pilgrimage Festival.
