Kenny Chesney understands a bit why his Live at Sphere Las Vegas residency is so successful. The country music superstar has spent decades prioritizing his fans, which is evident in every detail of Live at Sphere. It’s also why fans are raving about his Vegas shows.
“I think everybody’s curious about what this massive show is all about,” Chesney explains. “But I also think we’re having so much fun out here, who doesn’t want to be a part of it? When you have your friends calling, asking if they can come, I’ve always been the more, the better. But so far, we’ve had so many guests, so many friends and everybody’s having a blast.”
Chesney was recently joined by Uncle Kracker and Grace Potter, two of his friends and former duet partners. Previous guests included Old Dominion, his “Half Of My Hometown” duet partner, Kelsea Ballerini, and his “You Had To Be There” partner, Megan Moroney.

“No one has more fun onstage than Megan Moroney,” Chesney says of Moroney. “She doesn’t just radiate joy up there, she makes everybody want to experience the amount of fun she is clearly having. Even I want to – and don’t always – maintain that level of feeling good. She just brings it.”
Chesney and Moroney bonded while she was serving as the opening act on his Sun Goes Down Tour.
“It was just little by little, every week,” Chesney says of their friendship. “Megan, along with her whole road crew, we just became really great friends. And you never know if that’s going to happen or not. So when you hear someone that went out on the road with you, that cared so much about it, and cared so much about the experience, and what it meant to them to be up there on stage. But the thing about Megan and her crew, after she got off stage and before she was onstage, they were all on the side of the stage, soaking it all in.”
Chesney’s superstar power was recently recognized by Billboard, naming him their Top Country Artist of the 21st Century.
“No one gets up to go the gym and expects to see news like this on their phone,” Chesney says of the honor. “All I was ever trying to do was find the best possible songs, things that spoke to the heart of how No Shoes Nation lives – and then taking that music, those albums that were slices of my life out to everyone who wanted to come out, be a part of the shows, the moments and the memories we made in every city we played.”
The East Tennessee native will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this fall. See a list of the remaining dates on Chesney’s Live at Sphere Las Vegas residency below. Limited tickets remain for each show. Find all of Chesney’s music and upcoming shows at KennyChesney.com.
