Austin Brown Praises His Wife, Amberly: ‘She’s My Biggest Supporter’ [EXCLUSIVE]

Austin Brown‘s career as a solo artist is better than ever. After leaving Home Free in 2024 to release music on his own, Brown successfully made it onto America’s Got Talent, boldly auditioning twice in the same season, the second time singing his own “Somebody Believed” song, a testament to his wife, Amberly.

“She’s my biggest supporter,” Austin tells Everything Nash. “She has been since day one. She’s believed in me. She’s that person in the song, that wild card who believes in you. I’ll never forget years ago, whenever I was needing some help, trying to organize my business, and she was giving me a little advice. Then she goes, ‘You know what? I could do all this, and you could do X, Y, and Z. I could build you a website.’

“And I was like, ‘Really? Seriously?’ he recalls with a laugh. “I was like, ‘Please do it.’ She did it. Everyone who works with her is like, ‘Oh my God, she’s amazing.’ and they all try and hire her to work for them. Literally, everybody that I know.”

For now, Amberly is content helping her husband achieve his dreams, but their admiration goes both ways. Amberly rehabilitates wild animals, something Austin is already planning on helping her with as well.

“Eventually, I want to help her chase her dreams of opening a wildlife hospital, here in Tennessee, and a wildlife sanctuary too, for native wildlife,” Austin says.

Austin feels fortunate that he and Amberly have such a close bond, which is far better than anything he ever dreamed for himself.

“She’s my best friend,” Austin says. “It’s so funny … I just found a journal entry from literally 12 years ago to the day, and it’s unbelievable what it showed me, about who and what I was looking for. She just really fits the whole bill. She’s the best. And I hope everybody gets a chance to have a relationship like that.”

“Somebody Believed” is the perfect song for Amberly, and for Austin, who at one time said he would “never, ever do a reality TV show again,” after helping Home Free win The Sing-Off in 2013.

“It’s a song about overcoming obstacles,” Brown shares. “It’s a song about believing in yourself, maybe when no one else does. It’s a song about how sometimes when you don’t believe in yourself, all you need is that one person around you to be the wind in your sails, to believe in you. It’s a song I’m gonna be singing for the rest of my career. I love it. It’s one of the most fun songs I have to sing right now. And, I’m just loving the response that I’m getting from everyone who hears it.”

“Somebody Believed” is available on iTunes. Find all of Brown’s music and upcoming shows at AustinBrownMusic.com.
