Alexandra Kay Announces Sophomore 'Second Wind' Album And Tour

A new album is coming from Alexandra Kay! The singer-songwriter announces the release of Second Wind, her sophomore album, and her first on BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville. The record follows Kay’s honest and vulnerable All I’ve Ever Known project, out in 2023.

“I’m so ready to share these songs with the people who have been with me every step of the way,” Kay says. “Over the past two years, I’ve done a lot of growing — and over the last year, I’ve had the chance to write about the version of myself that’s emerged from that growth. This album reflects a new side of me, and I can’t wait for my fans to experience it live — especially the happier songs that I’m hoping they’ll be screaming right back at me from the crowd.”

In addition to releasing Second Wind, Kay is also headlining her Second Wind: The Tour, which kicks off on September 26 in Atlanta, Georgia, performing in 30 cities before wrapping up on November 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

What Songs Will Be On ‘Second Wind’

What Alexandra Kay Has Said About Her New Album

When announcing the album, Kay said she was eager for her fans to hear her progression from All I’ve Ever Known to Second Wind.

“We healed together through my debut album,” Kay writes on social media. “Now it’s time to grow together. My sophomore album Second Wind is officially yours on October 24th!! ”

Ahead of the announcement, Kay hinted that she was enjoying the process of working with BBR Music Group / BMG Nashville, after releasing her former album on her own.

“It’s been an absolute joy to work with them on this project,” Kay tells Entertainment-Focus. “They are so caring and they really put the artist first, which is not something every label does. A lot of people [said], ‘Oh, you were so independent for so long and you waved that flag so high,’ and I did. But it’s been cool to have this incredible team that will push me to the next level now.”
