Tyler Hubbard is enjoying a successful career as a solo artist, after spending the first part of his career as one-half of Florida Georgia Line with his former duo partner, Brian Kelley. But the two have been spending time together, even reuniting earlier this year to perform in tribute to Jason Aldean and his more than 30 No. 1 hits. Hubbard says he and Kelley may soon be playing some shows together.
“To be honest, we’ve had a blast,” Hubbard tells Entertainment Tonight. “It’s been a really fun season of healing. And we’ve been hanging out, laughing, cutting up, goofing around. It just feels like the old days. For us, we’re just trying to soak it up, make the most of it. Not rush anything. Be really smart about it. But we have been toying around and flirting with the idea of playing a handful of shows next year. That gets us both excited. But right now, we’re trying to be patient with it, trying to enjoy this kind of like honeymoon phase, if you will. … We’re just enjoying this time together.”
Hubbard goes on to say that he was spending time with both Kelley and his wife, Brittney, after leaving Las Vegas after the ACM Awards.
“I’m still working on my solo stuff at the moment,” Hubbard says. “But I do know that the idea of playing shows together sounds like a lot of fun. We’re just trying to keep it low-stress and nothing but a good time.”

What Tyler Hubbard Says About HIs Friendship With Brian Kelley
After Hubbard and Kelley went their separate ways, when Kelley decided he wanted to pursue a solo career, the two didn’t speak for a while, a rift that was heartbreaking for Hubbard.
“I hadn’t spoken to BK a lot in the last couple of years,” Hubbard previously said on Human School Podcast (via People) last fall. “But we’re going on a hike next week, so the way I see it is, I have a desire for that friendship.
“I miss the guy I was partners with for ten years,” he added. “I miss my old roommate, my best man at my wedding, and if nothing else, we should have a relationship.”
The two did reunite, later sharing some clips of their time together on social media. Hubbard understands why fans like to see them together, although he says the reunion means much more to him on a personal level than a professional one.
“I think for the world to get to experience a little taste of the emotion and the healing that we’ve got to feel, it’s really special,” Hubbard reflects. “And it’s bigger than just us. It’s bigger than just the music. And it’s actually a story and a powerful testimony to grace and forgiveness and healing and all those things. We’re leaning into that. It feels like the world is feeling what we’re feeling, and it feels good.”
Tyler Hubbard Is Ready to Release More Music On His Own
Hubbard isn’t opposed to making music again with Kelley, but he is still eager to continue pursuing his solo career. With four consecutive No. 1 singles to his credit, Hubbard is excited to share more music with his fans. He recently released “Land,” his debut single from his next solo record.
“It is a new chapter,” Hubbard hints. “I’ve been really diving into some new stuff. New producer and trying to switch it up a little bit. I’m excited. I’ve got a bunch of songs that I can’t wait to get out into the world. ‘Land’ is the first of many, and a song that means a lot to me. It’s sort of had a journey of it’s own, but it’s stood the test of time. I wrote it like two years ago, so it’s been around for a minute. I’m happy to have it finished. I’m happy to be really proud of it, and I’m happy to have it out for the world.”
