Anne Wilson Is Joined by Josh Turner on Christmas EP [LISTEN]

Anne Wilson surprised fans with the news of a six-track Christmas EP, The Manger, with  Josh Turner joining her on the title track. The record includes four songs written by Wilson, along with her versions of “O Holy Night” and “Mary, Did You Know?”

“There’s something just so special about the night that Jesus was born,” shares Wilson. “He came to earth in such a humble and lowly way and His love was on display for all of us to see. I’m so grateful for this project and I hope these songs bless you this Holiday season.”

Wilson shared a behind-the-scenes video of her in the studio with the Grand Ole Opry member.

“It was an honor getting to share this song with the incredible Josh Turner,” she captioned the video.

Turner also praised Wilson, and the song, on social media.

“I was honored to sing with this talented young lady on ‘The Manger,’ an original song for her new Christmas EP,” he said. “Y’all check out this new tune from Anne Wilson.”

The Manger was released the same week Wilson’s book, My Jesus: From Heartache to Hope was also released. The deeply personal memoir shares Wilson’s story of the devastating loss of her brother Jacob, and how his death inspired her own career in Christian music.

“The whole point of the book is really just showcasing God’s goodness, and how He does so much through tragedy, and how he never wastes a tear,” Wilson tells Everything Nash. “He never wastes heartache, He never wastes death and loss, but He always uses it for good. It’s just been a blessing to write this book, and I’m really excited about it. And it’s crazy that I have a book out at 20 years old. It blows my mind. I’m really grateful and excited about it.”
