Bailey Zimmerman Is ‘Beyond Grateful’ For Morgan Wallen Ahead of Tour

By now, Morgan Wallen could have his pick of artists to join him on the road, which is why Bailey Zimmerman is grateful that he was chosen. The rising star will join Wallen for all dates on Wallen’s upcoming One Night At A Time World Tour, performing 39 shows in four countries, spanning two continents, including 17 stadiums, plus numerous arenas and amphitheaters as well.

“Beyond grateful for this guy,” Zimmerman said on social media, sharing a photo of him with Wallen. “‘23 is going to be the craziest year ever, and that’s because I’ve got people like Morg in my corner, pushing me to do better every day! You’re an inspiration dawg, thanks for believing in me. Let’s get rowdy.”

Zimmerman might have a promising 2023, but the previous year was pretty good to him as well. The Illinois native broke a streaming record with his new album,  Leave The Light On. The eight-track project not only became the most-streamed all-genre debut of the year, but it also became the biggest streaming country debut of all time. Leave The Light On landed at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and an impressive No. 9 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.

Leave The Light On includes Zimmerman’s platinum-selling single, “Rock and a Hard Place,” as well as his debut single, “Fall in Love.” Even before he announced the One Night At A Time World Tour, Morgan said he was proud of Zimmerman and the music he was putting out.

“This is a kid, I think that, just with the way he’s rising and the way he’s blowing up, that he’s someone who will probably need that,” Wallen said on Country Countdown USA, speaking of being a support for Wallen. “I told him that I’d be that for him if he wants it. It’s cool just to see a little small-town kid, kind of like myself, come and start making some noise in the town and all around the country. I’m proud of him and looking forward to seeing what he does.”

Zimmerman kicked off the new year on a high note. The 22-year-old performed two songs on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, something he at one time couldn’t have even imagined.

“It’s so insane,” Zimmerman admitted on Good Morning America. “Two years ago I couldn’t afford my truck payment and now I’m like on TV. I’m just blessed. It’s crazy,”

Zimmerman also reflected on the chance to spend time on the road with Wallen, especially at this point in his career.

“I played my first arena show with Brooks & Dunn, and afterwards, I got in this car to go to Chicago,” Zimmerman recalls. “My managers called me and they’re like, ‘Hey, we got some crazy stuff. We had to turn down this one tour’ — and it was one of my favorite artists. ‘I was like, ‘Why? Why did we turn it down?'” And he said, ‘Morgan Wallen’s going to take you out on tour next year.’ I just started crying. The whole band, we started crying, because it’s like, this is why we work so hard, and we work day and night, writing these songs, and doing all of this stuff. So it’s gonna be a crazy year. I’m really excited.”

The One Night At A Time World Tour begins on April 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. ERNEST and Zimmerman will join Wallen for all dates, while HARDY and Parker McCollum will join the tour for select dates.
