Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani Drop ‘Love Is Alive’ From The Judds’ Tribute Album [LISTEN]

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have a new duet out! The married couple just released “Love Is Alive.” The song, first released by The Judds in 1985 on the duo’s freshman Why Not Me record, appears on the forthcoming A Tribute to The Judds album, out on October 27.

“The Judds are one of the greatest country acts of our lifetime,” Shelton says. “’80s country music is my favorite decade, and I’ve been singing Judd songs for as long as I can remember. ‘‘Love Is Alive’ was on their first album, and we wanted to stick pretty close to the original version, and Gwen just nails the vocal. We’re thrilled to be part of this tribute album.”

“I have always admired The Judds, and I am so thrilled to be part of this album,” adds Stefani. “‘Love Is Alive’ is an iconic track and performing the song with Blake is a perfect way to honor their timeless discography.”

Shelton and Stefani, who wed in 2021, have combined their musical talents on several songs in the past. The couple previously released “Nobody But You,” “You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” and  “Happy Anywhere,” which became a No. 1 hit for the pair.

“Blake Shelton, thank you for letting me ride your coattails all this time,” Stefani said (via People), after “Happy Anywhere” was released. “I truly am a fish out of water. I’m from Orange County, but I’m wearing cowboy boots for this. I am such a fan of songwriting and writers. When Blake asked me to be on ‘Happy Anywhere,’ I cried because I was so excited about it. The song is so ‘our song’ and we’re so in love and it really is the perfect way to describe us.”
