Carly Pearce, The Oak Ridge Boys and More Remember Loretta Lynn

Country music artists are speaking out about the loss of Loretta Lynn. The Country Music Hall of Fame member was 90 years old when she passed away peacefully at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

“She showed us all how to unapologetically tell the truth,” Carly Pearce tweeted. “One of the greatest there ever will be. I’ll be singing ‘Dear Miss Loretta‘ with a little extra love tonight at the Opry. Now she really is a Honky Tonk Angel.”

“Very sad news this morning … LORETTA LYNN has gone home,” the Oak Ridge Boys said. “Great Britain lost their Queen … now we have lost ours … Rest easy ma’am. You were loved all …”

“So sad to hear of the passing of ⁦Loretta Lynn,” wrote Travis Tritt. “She was always an inspiration to those of us grew up listening to and loving real country music. Her kindness, strength and devotion to country music and her fans will be deeply missed. They don’t make ‘em like her anymore.”

“She was an iconic legend and did things the way she wanted,” said Darius Rucker. “I am so [blessed] to call her friend. I miss you already Loretta. Love you. And rest now you angel.”

“Oh, sweet Loretta Lynn… what a life! what an icon!” LeAnn Rimes wrote. “What a trailblazer! What a beautiful soul! May she rest peacefully with the angels. My heart is with her family and friends.”

“We are heartbroken to learn about the passing of Loretta Lynn, the Coal Miner’s Daughter,” the Country Music Hall of Fame said. “She inspired generations of female musicians & has forever left a mark on Country Music’s history. Our deepest sympathy goes out to her family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
