Caroline Jones Is Joined by Alyssa Bonagura For ‘Keep It Safe’ [LISTEN]

Caroline Jones might now be an official member of the Zac Brown Band, but she is still putting out plenty of her own music as well. The New York native just dropped “Keep It Safe,” featuring Alyssa Bonagura. The song is from Jones’ forthcoming new album, the follow-up to her 2021 Antipodes record.

“Alyssa is a super talented musician, producer, singer and songwriter, and a really genuine spirit,” Jones says of her “Keep It Safe” collaborator. “I’m so grateful to call her a really close friend and collaborator. This song is very 90’s and harkens back to The Corrs, SHeDaisy, Shania and even The Bangles.”

“Over the last year, Caroline and I have become such great friends and this song was really born out of one of our deep girly chats about life and love,” adds Bonagura. “I had just started dating someone new and Caroline gave me such amazing sisterly advice to remember to take it slow and be present and things would work out the way they were supposed to! It’s such a good reminder to be present in all things and sometimes all it takes is a good friend to remind you of that.”

Jones had already been performing with the Zac Brown Band, when the band’s leader extended the invitation for her to become a permanent member.

“It feels like Caroline has been part of Zac Brown Band for years,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight when the news was announced. “She has done a few tours with us and has also been in the recording studio creating with us. She is family and a badass musician. She sings the highest and works the hardest.”

Jones might have a really full schedule with both her solo dates and performing with the Zac Brown Band, but she insists the two musical paths actually complement each other well.

“It’s really formative for me,” Jones told Everything Nash of being pard of the Zac Brown Band. “And I’ve noticed even just in a year of being in their band, so many changes in me as an artist and a musician. They have a rawness and a willingness to take risks because they’re veterans. So me being a perfectionist, I tend to be more timid, or I tend to not do something unless I know I can nail it. And Zac is just super raw. His talent is just out there on the edge. He doesn’t care as much about necessarily the perfection of the thing as the soul and the grit of it. And I think some of that’s rubbing off on me, which is really good for me.”
