Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan Announce Las Vegas Residencies

Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan are both heading to Las Vegas. The country music superstars will be part of a new series of residencies, held at The Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas, which will begin December 1. Underwood’s six-show residency, REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency, will begin on December 1, while Bryan’s six shows will kick off on February 11.

“Touring is one of my favorite things I get to do as a performer and we’ve all really been missing that,” Underwood said. “I love being on the road and coming to the fans where they live but it will also be fun to get to do multiple shows in one place where people will be able to come to get that concert experience and have some fun in Las Vegas at the same time. It’s such a special honor to be one of the first artists to get to perform in a brand new, beautiful, state-of-the-art theatre at such an exciting new destination as Resorts World Las Vegas.”

The title, Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency, is indicative of the kind of show Underwood will perform each night.

“The show title refers to the fact that this show will reflect the amazing journey I’ve been on for the past 16 years, as well as a glimpse into what lies ahead,” hinted the singer.

Underwood also spoke out about the opportunity on social media.

“It’s happening!” Underwood posted. “I’m headed to Las Vegas to kick off my first residency, #REFLECTION at The Theatre at [Resorts World Las Vegas] on December 1! Fan Club pre-sale begins this Monday at 10am PT. Tickets on sale May 24!”

Bryan spoke out about the new opportunity while appearing on the Today Show.

“We are so excited to announce I’m going to do my first-ever headlining run at Resorts World Las Vegas,” Bryan revealed. “We’re going to be playing the Theatre at Resorts World. It’s a 5,000 seat theater. I’ve never done a Vegas headlining run, and I’m so excited. As a kid, I used to have the Elvis 33’s of him live in Las Vegas, and I used to sing, ‘Oh please release me, let me go.’ So now I get to have my Elvis moment in Vegas. I’m really, really excited for the fans.”

Underwood and Bryan join pop stars Celine Dion and Katy Perry in taking part in the new residency series. Dion’s residency will begin on November 5, while Perry’s will start on December 29.
