Charlie Daniels’ Funeral Procession Announced, Along With Livestream Details

New details have emerged about the upcoming funeral of Charlie Daniels. The singer, who passed away on Monday, July 6, from a hemorrhagic stroke, will be honored with a public memorial on Friday, July 10.

A funeral procession will carry Charlie’s body from the Sellers Funeral Home in Mount Juliet to World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, where the service will be held. The procession will leave Sellers Funeral Home (2229 North Mt. Juliet Rd., Mount Juliet) at 8:00 AM, and travel to World Outreach Church (1921 State Hwy 99, Murfreesboro).

The procession will be escorted by the Mt. Juliet Police Department and the Patriot Guard Riders. Following the service, the procession will continue to the Mount Juliet Memorial Gardens, where a private burial service will be held. The funeral is open to the public.

Vince Gill, Travis Tritt, Gretchen Wilson and Trace Adkins will perform. The four singers will each sing at least one song during the service, which will be co-led by SiriusXM‘s Storme Warren and pastor Allen Jackson, who is the Senior Pastor at World Outreach Church.

For those unable to attend, the Country Music Hall of Fame member’s funeral will be live-streamed on multiple outlets, including World Outreach Church’s Facebook page and website, as well as The Charlie Daniels Band’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Journey Home Project, a foundation Charlie began to help those returning from serving in the Armed Forces.

Charlie was previously honored with a Patriotic Community Service, which included a performance by Trace, along with Tracy Lawrence and Darryl Worley.

“Of all the musical things he will be remembered for, which there’s many, many … I think the man that Charlie Daniels was supersedes all of that,” Tracy said (via The Tennessean). “He was a gracious, humble, deeply convicted man about the things that he believed in.”

Charlie’s service will begin at 11:00 AM CT. Those attending are strongly encouraged to wear masks.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Hazel, and son, Charlie Daniels, Jr.
