Chris Tomlin and MercyMe Announce Joint ‘A Winter Tour’

Chris Tomlin and MercyMe will spend the end of 2022 on the road, together. The two Christian music acts will combine their talents for their joint Chris Tomlin X MercyMe: A Winter Tour, kicking off on December 1 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

“After years of incredible friendship, I am so excited to announce that I am hitting the road with MercyMe this winter for the first time!” Tomlin shares. “For me, there is no better way to close out 2022 than to come together and celebrate God for all he has done, is doing, and will continue to do in each of our lives…And since it will be December, there may just need to be a ‘flurry’ of Christmas songs in the night. Hope to see you there!”

“Finally! I can’t tell you how many times MercyMe and Chris Tomlin have talked about touring together,” adds MercyMe’s Bart Millard. “We’ve been friends for many years and we’re so excited that it’s finally happening. These nights are going to be special and truly a tour you do not want to miss.”

MercyMe’s 11th studio album, Always Only Jesus, will be out on October 21. The record includes their current single, “Then Christ Came.”

“This one in some ways is like a warm blanket to us—not just how we’re playing—but the subject matter,”  Millard says. “For me personally, if I ever needed this to be front and center, not just in MercyMe, but in my life, it’s now. I can’t wait to hear people sing these songs and worship. Every song points back to Jesus.”

Tomlin’s latest album, ALWAYS, was released last month. The 13-track record includes his current single, the title track, which is in the Top 10.

“I have had the great privilege of writing and recording songs for most of my life and yet I still never feel like I truly finish a record… I just release a record… and this project is no exception. These songs are another step towards my ongoing desire to help give people a voice to worship God,” Tomlin says. “Over the years I have come to realize that the older we get, the more questions we have about life and while I have never claimed to have all the answers, my prayer is that these new songs of worship help point people to the One who does.”

The tour begins after Tomlin wraps his 35-city tour with UNITED. See a list of dates and venues below. Find more information at ChrisTomlin.com and MercyMe.org.
