Dailey & Vincent Film ‘Feels Like That Again’ From the Grand Ole Opry [PREMIERE]

Dailey & Vincent just dropped the video for “Feels Like That Again,” and are giving Everything Nash readers an exclusive first look. The song is from the duo’s Grand Ole Opry series, Let’s Sing Some Country! At the Opry with Dailey & Vincent, with the video filmed on the Opry stage.

After becoming Grand Ole Opry members in 2017, both Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent felt it was important to make the famed Opry stage part of the video.

“We couldn’t shoot a series of videos at the Opry, and not have one standing in the iconic circle,” Vincent says. “This one offers a different perspective of the Opry stage, as we face away from what’s normally the audience for the performance.”

Dailey & Vincent, together for more than 15 years, were also eager to feature their all-star band in the “Feels Like That Again,” highlighting their excellent musicianship.

“Any time we can involve the rest of the band, we do,” explains Dailey. “In ‘Feels Like That Again,’ our bass singer, Aaron Lee McCune, adds a depth with the low notes in the chorus, making it a fun song for our band to perform.”

When Dailey & Vincent were invited to become members of the Grand Ole Opry, it was an honor neither of them ever anticipated receiving.

“We never would’ve dreamed of that,” Dailey told Everything Nash last year. “It’s kind of like when we became members of the Grand Ole Opry, we were invited to become members of the first family country music. We never saw that coming. We knew it was not gonna happen for us. And it did. We were shocked beyond belief. … We could have never, never planned or dreamed of that.”

“Feels Like That Again” is from Dailey & Vincent’s Let’s Sing Some Country! album, out in September. After more than a decade of being one of the reigning hitmakers in bluegrass music, both men felt it was time to do an entire project dedicated wholly to country music.

“We’ve been having a TV show on RFD and Circle Network for the last few years,” Vincent told Everything Nash, speaking of their The Dailey & Vincent Show, which aired its fifth season last fall. “And we do such a collection of music, from bluegrass, country and gospel. We’ve done all those records, gospel and bluegrass. It was time for us to do a country record, and we had an opportunity to do that with BMG and Broken Bow records. We took that opportunity.”
