Hank Williams Jr.’s Daughter Holly Williams Speaks Out After Her Sister’s Sudden Death

Holly Williams is speaking out after the tragic loss of her sister, Katherine Williams-Dunning, who was tragically killed in a car accident over the weekend. Katherine and Holly are both the daughters of country music legend Hank Williams, Jr.

“I have no words,” Holly wrote on Instagram, alongside a family photo. “On Friday morning I talked the family into taking this picture and had no idea it would be our last together with my precious little sister Katie. We all went to my great aunt’s funeral on Thursday whom we all loved dearly, and now are faced with another one. ALL we need is prayers. My daddy. My little brother. Katie’s husband (he is awake and responding – don’t know injury extent yet). My niece and nephew. Her Mama. The Dunning family.

“All of us,” she added. “So. Many. Prayers. Jesus is close. Thank you all. Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief. Psalm 31:9.”

According to WSMV, Katherine was driving a 2007 Chevy Tahoe, and towing a boat while driving south on Highway 79, when the vehicle crossed the median and repeatedly rolled over. The vehicle crossed the northbound lanes before coming to a stop on the east shoulder of the highway. Katherine was pronounced dead following the crash.

Hank Jr. has yet to publicly comment on the accident. Her husband, Travis Dunning, remains hospitalized. She leaves behind 5-year-old son, Beau and 2-year-old daughter, Audrey. Funeral services have yet to be announced. Everything Nash extends their deepest condolences to the family.
