Keith Urban is Enjoying ‘Lots and Lots of Family Time’ During Coronavirus Pandemic

Keith Urban has found a silver lining to being forced to self-isolate due to the coronavirus pandemic: time with his family. The New Zealand-born star is spending his days with his wife, actress Nicole Kidman and daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, while he is off the road, and cherishing every minute of their unexpected time together.

“[We’ve had] lots and lots of family time, and I’ve actually been really enjoying that, honestly.,” Keith told Entertainment Tonight. “[We are] just being creative as a family with how we use our time and help other people in any ways we can do, even if it is something like an at-home concert. It’s our little bit to try and help out.”

Keith also just dropped a new single, “Polaroid,” and video, and plans to release a new album this fall.

“Luckily I had a lot of songs recorded, so I could just keep moving on with that in my studio downstairs, doing some vocals, guitar, stuff like that,” Keith revealed.

The 52-year-old is grateful for time with his wife and daughters, although he acknowledges dealing with coronavirus isn’t easy.

“Someone the other day called me and they said, ‘How are you doing?’ and I’m like, ‘Could we start with an easier question?'” Keith recalled. “That used to be just an innocuous greeting and now it’s got so much gravitas. We’re all good, the family’s good.”

Keith will host the 2020 ACM Awards, which will be held in Nashville for the first time ever. The show will air live from three locations: the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium and the Bluebird Cafe, on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 8 PM ET on CBS.
