Mike Gossin Calls It ‘Kismet’ That Cheyenne Kimball Joins Him On ‘Let’s Ride’

Mike Gossin is back with new music. Formerly part of the band, Gloriana, alongside his brother, Tom, Cheyenne Kimball and Rachel Reinert, Gossin is now releasing music on his own. The New York native just dropped “Let’s Ride,” a song which is part of a forthcoming new project.

“What I love about the song ‘Let’s Ride’ is that it’s a labor of love with my friends,” Gossin tells Everything Nash. “It came together with my friend [engineer] Mark Dobson, Cheyenne, my two guitar buddies here in Nashville, Tom Bukovac and Danny Rader, who joined me on the track, and myself playing, and producing the song.”

After releasing music as part of Gloriana, including hit singles like “(Kissed You) Good Night,” “Wild at Heart” and more, Gossin is not only happy to be releasing music on his own, but especially grateful to be reunited with Kimball on the fiery tune. It was Kimball who, perhaps ironically, reached out to Gossin for the first time in a decade, as he was working on “Let’s Ride.”

“I am grateful that I have the chance to show people that I am multifaceted when it comes to music, as a producer, writer and musician,” Gossin shares. “Plus you add in how kismet it was to have Cheyenne reach out after a decade, just as I was writing this song, and it gives it a whole new powerful meaning.

“It’s been really fun getting back out there with this song and with Cheyenne,” he adds. “I am truly thankful for how incredible the fans’ feedback and support has been with the new music and am excited to get out there on the road soon.”

Gossin not only wrote and produced “Let’s Ride,” but also came up with the idea for the performance video as well.

“I wrote the video treatment for ‘Let’s Ride’ about two people who want to drop everything, hop in the truck, and drive in the moment together,” Gossin tells Taste of Country. “It doesn’t matter where they go, they can’t resist the gravity between them, and they just give in to escaping it all together. I wanted the performance part of the video to be the main focus with a secondary simple storyline.”

“Let’s Ride” is part of an upcoming solo project that Gossin is currently working on in the studio. Find “Let’s Ride” and keep track of music updates at MikeGossin.com.
