Watch Miranda Lambert Perform ‘Bluebird’ on ‘The Tonight Show’ From Her Home

Miranda Lambert is no stranger to late-night television shows, but her latest performance was a bit out of the ordinary. The Texas native performed her current single, “Bluebird,” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, from the comfort of her own home.

“I want to send this one especially out to the first responders and healthcare workers and grocery people that are keeping us safe and fed,” Miranda said prior to her performance. “We’re praying for y’all and we’re so thankful for you and you’re all heroes. Hopefully we’re almost through this thing.”

Miranda was forced to postpone several shows on her Wildcard Tour, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn’t mean she is spending the time sitting at home. The award-winning singer and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, just purchased a new Airstream, with the goal of seeing the country, when Miranda isn’t rushing from city to city on a tour bus.

“When people ask me questions about all the traveling I’ve done, my answer is pretty much the same every time,” Miranda shared on social media, along with a few photos of the shiny new home on wheels. “‘I’ve been everywhere but I haven’t seen much of anything.'” I’ve been touring for 19 years and most times we just roll in, play our show, and roll to the next town. I’ve only gotten to spend some real time in a few of the places I’ve been.

“After spending these last few months at home (a much needed break and time to nest) I realized something,” she continued. “Just because I can’t travel and play shows doesn’t mean I can’t travel and make music. I have the most amazing travel companion, my husband, and we decided to add a family member … I’ve been a vintage trailer collector for years and this is my very first new one. I’m letting go of a few vintage [ones] to make room for adventure in this silver gem!”

Miranda is eager to hit the road again, but until she does, she is learning to make the most of her time away from her fans.

“I don’t like change but I’m learning to embrace it,” she said. “Until I get get back on Elvira and tour, I’ll be pulling this rig all over the country. I know that seeing the world through the windshield again will bring creative vibes.”
