Scotty McCreery's Wife Gabi Is Pregnant: 'A New Best Friend Coming This Fall'

Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi are having another baby! The couple announced the news on social media, showing their son Avery wearing a shirt that indicates his new title as a big brother.

Avery was born on October 24, 2022. At the time, McCreery said he was overwhelmed by meeting his son for the first time.

“Next to his mother, he is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” McCreery said when announcing the arrival of his firstborn. “We have been waiting and preparing all year, and now we are so excited to have our little man here with us. We have begun a grand new adventure that will continue for the rest of our lives.”

“Gabi was a total rock star during Avery’s birth. I could not be more proud of her,” he added. “She has already taken to motherhood like a champ. Part of my joy as his Dad is watching Gabi already crush it as his Mom.”

McCreery wrote “Love Like This,” about the experience of becoming a father.

“Becoming a father is the greatest thing that’s happened to me,” McCreery said of the inspiration behind the song. “Raising Avery as he grows and watching my wife Gabi be a rock star as his Mom has been the joy of my life these last 15 months. I knew I wanted to write a song about Avery. I even photographed the room number on the hospital door so I could put that into the lyrics.”

Of all that McCreery has done, including having numerous No. 1 singles, becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry and more, McCreery calls being a father his greatest accomplishment.

“It’s been just the coolest thing I’ve ever done,” McCreery told Everything Nash. “It’s been the best. I feel like your priorities change, everything changes. You’re no longer thinking about, ‘What are my plans today?’ It’s like, ‘No, what are we doing with Avery? What does he need to be going on?’ And if we’re gonna go somewhere, we’re bringing him. Everything shifts, but it’s all for the better. And just getting to watch him grow and kind of come into his self and get his own little personality, it’s just so rewarding, and so cool to watch as a dad.”

No word when Avery’s younger sibling will arrive. McCreery is headlining his own UK Tour this month, which begins on May 24 in Belfast, Ireland. He is also co-headlining the Two For The Road Tour with Dustin Lynch, which begins on November 6 in Saginaw, Michigan.

“It’s new for both of us, I think, this co-headlining thing,” McCreery explained. “We’re bringing all his gear and my gear, putting it together and making one big show. So should be a lot of fun. I think we’re going to get our heads together and try to come up with a show that fans haven’t seen before.”

McCreery currently has a Top 30 hit with “Bottle Rockets,” his collaboration with Hootie & the Blowfish. Find the song, and all of McCreery’s music and upcoming shows, at ScottyMcCreery.com.
