The Outlaws Donate a Generous $25,000 to MusiCares

The Outlaws have made a generous donation to a cause they are passionate about. The Southern rock group donated $25,000 to MusiCares, a non-profit that helps the uninsured in the music industry with financial assistance for medical expenses.

“Our commitment to this cause has raised over $100,000 in the past six years and we will continue to support MusiCares as we move forward,” The Outlaws’ Henry Paul shares. “We’d like to thank the Robert E. & Marie Orr Smith Foundation for their generous support, our charity manager, Lori Eyler and friends for their hard work, the Four Horsemen Society for their ongoing contributions and Outlaws fans everywhere. Together we are making a difference.”

MusiCares is a cause artists have championed for years, including Dolly Parton, who was honored in 2019 as MusiCares’ first country artist to be named the MusiCares Person of the Year. In 2021, Netflix aired the concert honoring Parton, hosted by Little Big Town, which featured performances by Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Shawn Mendes, Leon Bridges, Yolanda Adams and more.

“MusiCares has done so much for the people in this industry and continues to be a beacon of light for those in need,” Parton said of the organization. “It was such a joy and a humbling experience to be able to sit and watch all of the great artists singing songs that I had written or had been a part of.”

The Outlaws’ eponymous debut album was released in 1975. Since then, the group has released more than 20 albums, including their latest Alive in America record, which was just released. The Outlaws also maintain a robust touring schedule, with dates scheduled in Pennsylvania, New York, Florida and more throughout the remainder of the year.
