Trisha Yearwood Releases Deeply Personal ‘I’ll Carry You Home’ Video: WATCH

Trisha Yearwood just released a deeply personal video for “I’ll Carry You Home.” The video for the song, which is from her latest Every Girl album, shows footage of personal home videos from Trisha’s own early years, including when she was first brought home from the hospital.

“‘I’ll Carry You Home’ is almost like a prayer,” Trisha said of the powerful song. “For me, it’s very much about the people in my life that have my back, and also my strong spiritual belief that God’s got me, no matter what. I believe that. It’s really like a prayer. It’s just one of the most beautiful songs that I’ve heard.”

Trisha also performed “I’ll Carry You Home” at the 2020 ACM Awards, in tribute to those in the country music industry who have recently passed away, including Charlie Daniels, Joe Diffie, Kenny Rogers and more.

In addition to releasing a new song, the Georgia native also revealed earlier this year that she is working on a new cookbook as well, which is another way for her to honor her heritage.

“I’ve just started working on cookbook number four,” said Trisha via Facebook, during one of her weekly T’s Coffee Talk series. “Did I just make an announcement? I don’t know if I did or not, but that’ll hopefully be coming out next year. And it’s been really fun. I’ve missed doing it. Writing the books is always kind of cathartic for me. It started with the very first one that my mom and my sister [Beth] and I wrote, after my dad passed. It was a way for us to be together, and it was a way for us to really honor him, because he was a great cook.

“And then we wrote that second book together,” she continued. “And then the third book, Beth and I did, and that became a tribute to both of our parents. And so, I’m really excited. You’re not going to see any surprises. I figured out that what we do is comfort food, and it’s not food that you should probably eat every day, but if you’re going to indulge, here’s how to do it, and so that’s what we’re going with. I’m excited; I’m having a really good time.”
